AAR Regions
Our nine AAR Regions provide access to professional development and collaboration closer to home.
About Our
Regions
AAR pursues its mission by sustaining accessible regional intellectual networks to serve members where they live and work, and to respond to local publics and concerns. Regional meetings of the Academy often incorporate patterns of organization and presentation similar to those followed at the Academy-wide meetings, while also offering unique and distinct opportunities for members.
Why Join a Region

The AAR's nine regional conferences represent phenomenal opportunities for those who are looking to build their professional network, present new work, or get involved in leadership within the AAR. Each region of the country has its own unique challenges and resources. The AAR's regions reflect that diversity. Regional conferences are very welcoming environments for scholars at all stages in their careers.
