A new website provides information and strategies for creating a more inclusive, accessible University community.
The site,
Accessible U
, underscores 3 key reasons for accessibility:
Improves usability for all.
It's the right thing to do.
It's the law.
As Bernie Gulachek, University of Minnesota, Interim Vice President for Information Technology states in the
video that introduces the site
...it's important that the university community has resources like this one to help each of us make digital accessibility part of our day-to-day work so that all of us can participate more fully...Accessibility is everybody's everyday responsibility. It's one sure path toward a more inclusive campus.
