When is The Sail Loft open?
The Sail Loft is open all year round.
When is reception open?
Earliest check in is from 4.00 pm.  Latest check in is 9.00 pm.  We kindly ask that you check out by 10.00 am.  For any timings out with these, please contact us.
How can I pay?
We have a debit/credit card machine on site. Bookings and payments may be made in advance via our secure website booking facility.
What accommodation do you have?
The Sail Loft is a great place for individuals, groups and families to stay. The accessible single bed room and the 4 and 6 bed rooms are on the ground floor. The 2 and 3 bed rooms are on the first floor, accessed by stairs. The Reception, the lounge and open plan kitchen and dining areas are on the ground floor. A wood burning stove can be lit in the lounge. Cots and cot bedding are available for use.
What do you provide for guests?
All bedding is provided but you must take your own towels or hire from us at £2. In the kitchen, we provide tea, coffee, hot chocolate, sugar, salt, a selection of herbs and spices, cooking oil, cling film, tin foil, washing up and cleaning products.  We have a hot tub set within the walled garden (available by booking). There is also a BBQ facility.
Are children allowed to stay?
Yes, The Sail Loft has been designed and furnished with families in mind.  Infants under 3 years can stay free of charge.  Cots and cot bedding are available free of charge (please check availability). Guests aged 3 and over are subject to the full bed rate.  Highchairs and a selection of toys and games are also available.
Are pets allowed to stay?
Yes, well behaved dogs are welcome to stay in designated rooms. There is an additional charge of £5 per night per dog.  Availability
must
be checked at time of booking.  Pets may not enter the kitchen/dining areas.  Owners are responsible for their pets, keeping them under control at all times and cleaning up after them while on site.
Can I park my car nearby?
There is free parking for 7 vehicles immediately outside the main entrance door, plus plenty more free parking just a minute’s walk away.
Do you have a secure area for cycles?
Yes, we have a lockable area with racks for up to 25 cycles.  We also have a cycle wash area.
What about security?
The Sail Loft has an electronic entry system. You will be provided with a key for accessing the building and your bedroom. Each bed is also provided with a secure lockable storage drawer.  However, The Sail Loft takes no responsibility for any personal belongings left within the building.
Do you have laundry and drying facilities?
Yes, we have a laundry room with two coin operated washing machines and tumble dryers and ironing facilities. There is also a drying room with dehumidifier and ample hanging space and racks for outdoor gear.
What about cooking facilities?
The hostel kitchen has two four ring hobs, two combi oven/microwaves, two standard fridges, kettles and toasters. The kitchen is very well equipped with all utensils, crockery, glassware and cutlery needed. Large pots and pans are also provided.
What is the phone reception like?
Due to its location, mobile signal and reception can be limited for some networks and devices within The Sail Loft and nearby area. Free Wifi is available on site.
Is there Wifi?
Yes, we have free Wifi throughout The Sail Loft.  Please ask a member of staff for the access code.
