Membership

ACL is devoted to the advancement of collaboration in higher education and the growth and development of the professionals who work in higher education consortia.   Consortia in higher education can look very different from one another yet at their core they aim to accomplish two goals for their member colleges and universities: Improve the excellence of individual institutions by doing something together that cannot be done as well – or at all – by a college or university on its own. Reduce expenses at individual institutions through shared activities. Collaboration creates opportunities for students and campus communities and enables efficiencies. ACL provides members extensive resources, insights, and shared experiences for achieving high quality higher education collaboration.    Any organization, formal or informal, that is engaged in the coordination of collaborative endeavors by colleges and universities is eligible for membership.

Membership Options

Organization Membership is available to any organization, formal or informal, that is engaged in the coordination of collaborative endeavors by colleges and universities. Membership lives at the organizational level, and any affiliates of your organization will have full access to your organization's membership when you add them as a member of your bundle. Membership pricing depends upon your organization's staff size; it can range anywhere from $250 for smaller organizations to $2,500 for larger organizations. The total price will be calculated when you input your organization's information. The cost for organizations with one employee is $225. It then increases by $150 for each additional employee, up to $2,500.

Individual Membership is available to those who are not affiliated with or employed by an ACL-eligible member organization but have demonstrated a sustained interest in the activities of ACL. If you work for a consortium, collaborative, center or other similar organization, you are ineligible for Individual Membership, as your organization would need to join as a member. Annual membership cost is $85.

Small Consulting Partner Membership is available to consultants who independently operate or work at a company with 3.0 FTE or fewer consultants. Eligible to those who have a sustained interest in the activities of ACL and collaboration in higher education. This membership category is invited to participate in the activities of ACL but restricted from service on the Board of Directors or chairing ACL committees. All ACL members, including independent consultants are prohibited from resharing proprietary ACL information, profiting from ACL membership, or promoting services through ACL lists. Annual membership cost is $225.

Annual Membership dues renew on July 1.
ACL Members have access to...

Webinars, audio calls, workshops, and regional meetings are available through virtual platforms and are offered free or at a discount to members.
 

The annual in-person conference is the most concentrated ACL networking activity. It attracts partnership directors and leaders from higher education, government, business, and the public sector. Members receive significant registration discounts and early information about the conference.

This highly-supportive unique peer group provides invaluable shared learning, insight and resources for one another outside of conferences and meetings.
