The present study is significant because it helped to assess the benefits of Internet usage among the students. Survey was also used as the research method, using the questionnaire as instrument. The study concludes that although respondents use internet, Wi-Fi and GSM data frequently, which takes much of the time meant for their studies, it has a positive impact on their Academics. The study recommends that more internet facilities in school of social science and humanities should be upgraded to meet the standard of learning. And school management should make the school environment more oriented,so that more people will participate in running internet cafes as it seems to be easiest and most affordable ways for students to have access to internet resources. More students should be encouraged to use internet for learning, as this will enable them share useful academic information with students from other institutions of higher learning across the world.

To be able to achieve this objective, three (3) research question were formulated which center on the electronic services offered by the university central library, students awareness of the electronic services, level of students patronage of electronic services, student's attitude towards electronic services, challenges facing the electronic services. Relevant literature were discussed. A survey research design was adopted for the study. Data was collected through questionnaire and observation. A sample of 113 was used for analysis which was taken from the population of 1119undergraduated library users of the university. Finding revealed that the students were aware of the availability of the e-services in the library, the findings shows that respondents have positive attitudes towards electronic services in the library but their level of computer self-efficacy in the university is low. There are significant challenges facing the electronic services in the library which includes: inadequate facilities, constant problem of network connection which hinder access, low bandwidth problems, At incessant power outage, problem of downloading page and constant breakdown of equipment. Strategies were also proffered for enhancing and better utilization of the electronic services in the university central library which includes: giving student's library orientation, assisting student for retrieving information, provision of alternate power supply, upgrading the internet bandwidth, provision of adequate facilities.

Using three constructs of Vygotsky social development theory as a guide to understand and identify strategies for overcoming the challenges. A qualitative research methodology and case study research design was adopted. Data were collected using in-depth interview to study ten medical students out of 29 whom were selected through purposive sampling technique. Data from this study was analyzed using thematic Analysis. Findings from the study revealed that, medical students of Kaduna state university encounter challenges during online database searching due to lack of information literacy skills to strategize online database search and evaluate clinical journals, technical difficulties, such as frequent power outage, poor network, system problem. Further findings also revealed that, medical students believed librarians are not easily accessible for help during online database searching, revealing that he is the only one managing the library and always busy. Findings revealed that medical students are assisted by librarians in the library through referral service and user orientation. The use of research paradigm and theory provide specific direction for procedures in research design. This paper discussed the importance of understanding the use of research paradigm and theory in relation to the concepts of ontology, epistemology and methodology in both quantitative and qualitative approaches. The paper further discussed the connection of research paradigm and theory in library and information science (LIS) research, in both quantitative and qualitative researches. The author presents steps using deductive and inductive approaches and provides a guide in which LIS researchers need to consider before designing a research proposal.

Social networking sites have come to mean individuals, using the Internet and web application to communicate in previously impossible ways. This is largely the result of a culture-wide paradigm shift in the uses and possibilities of the internet itself. The objectives of the study are to find the level of student's awareness of social networking sites, examine purpose of using social networking sites, the effects associated to social networking sites, the average time spent on social networking sites and to identify the relevant of social networking sites to students The study adopted the descriptive survey research design which was employed to derive responses from a sample size of 200 undergraduate students of National Institute of Ayurveda who were selected via random sampling techniques. Data were collected from this population using questionnaire. Out of the 200 questionnaires distributed 180 respondents completed and returned the questionnaire representing 90% response rate. The result of the study reveals that mostly all the student were using the social networking sites in interaction with friends and families.

Therefore it can also induce the obesity at a very early stage in the life of children, and its presence in children saliva should be checked. We proposed eight microsensors: four stochastic microsensors, one amperometric microsensor and three multimode microsensors for the screening of children saliva for bisphenol A in a concentration range from 10 À15 to 10 À4 mol/L. Qualitative assessment of bisphenol A in saliva samples was done using stochastic sensing, while its quantitative assessment was done using differential pulse voltammetry and stochastic sensing. The results correlated well, and also compared with those obtained using the standard method, although the standard method did not cover all the time the ranges on which bisphenol A is present in children saliva, and therefore the standard method cannot be reliable used for it analysis in children saliva.
