Brought to you in partnership with Kaiser Permanente, Ageless Adventures is a series of programs designed for adults of all ages to connect with nature, nurture wellness, and enjoy community. From gardening and guided hikes to bird walks and yoga, there’s something for everyone who wants to stay active, engaged, and inspired. Gentle Yoga with Joan

Support your balance, mobility, and peace of mind in a welcoming yoga class tailored for older adults. Joan’s gentle, mindful approach helps every participant feel strong, confident, and at ease.

Class meets in the Nature Classroom and will be held outside on the Amphitheatre if the weather permits.

Guided Forest Ecology Hikes

Discover the balance of forest ecosystems on a guided hike. Learn how native plants, wetlands, and sustainable trails protect wildlife and people alike—while uncovering a few historic sites along the way. Our trail loop is a Hard-packed dirt walking trail about 1.5 miles long.

Saturday Socials
Registration not required
Saturday Socials invite families to slow down and savor time together at Autrey Mill Nature Preserve. Participants enjoy a guided visit to one of our historic buildings, then gather for a hands-on craft or activity designed to awaken memories for older adults while planting brand-new ones for the youngest generation. Saturday Socials are a pocket of time where grandparents, parents, and children discover the joy of remembering and making memories together.

Historic Homes - Take a Peek Tuesday
Registration not required
Step back in time and explore the rich history of Johns Creek at Autrey Mill’s Historic Home Day. Stop by the Visitor Center to check in with a tour guide and go on a private tour of Autrey Mill’s preserved historic buildings. Take a Peek. Tuesdays are specially designed for small groups. If you would like a historic tour for a group of 10 or more, please email karen@autreymill.org.

As a non-profit, your donations support the daily care of our animals, the upkeep of our historic building, and the educational programs that share the wonder of nature and history with our community.

Hours
Nature Preserve Grounds: 8am to 9pm
Visitor Center and Farm Musuem Open: Tuesday through Saturday from 10 am to 4 pm and Sunday 12 pm to 4 pm. Closed Mondays. The grounds, trails, and outdoor animals are able to be visited daily from 8 am to 9 pm.
Closed on major holidays and access may be restricted during events, programs, and summer camp.
It is free to visit. Donations are appreciated.
