honors alumni for exceptional contributions in professional, academic, or service fields, including dedication to Lynchburg.

Candidates must hold a Lynchburg degree or have attended for at least two years before graduating from another accredited institution. Selection is based on outstanding achievements in society, including professional, academic, personal, or service contributions. Nominations are open to all sources. Awards may be given posthumously, with the number of recipients determined by the Alumni Association’s executive committee.

Nominations for all alumni awards close on Sept. 29, 2025.
Eligible candidates may include staff, faculty, board members, school supporters, or friends of Lynchburg. Selection is based on demonstrated dedication and service, with preference given to those with at least five years of involvement. Faculty and staff nominees must exceed job expectations, as supported by references and recommendations. Special consideration is given to individuals who have broadened the school’s message or shared their expertise beyond their role. Nominations are open to all sources, and the award may be given posthumously.

It celebrates a student leader who embodies John G. Eccles’s integrity, sense of humor, and passion for leadership.
