First Thursdays with the Phis
On the First Thursday of each month, Phi Delta Theta alumni gather in consistent locations, starting at the same time, in an ever-growing list of cities across North America. Whether you are new to your city, a long-time resident, seeking to build your network, or enjoy meeting other local Phis, Phi Delta Theta wants you to have a place in your city where you can enjoy brotherhood on the first Thursday evening of the month.

To enhance alumni engagement, the True Blue Society has been reimagined to become Phi Delta Theta’s engagement society, with the goal of highlighting those who have engaged with the Fraternity and our members on a high level and rewarding them with benefits to match their dedication to the continued success of our organization. To be considered a member of the True Blue Society, you must be part of one or more of these categories:
Current Chapter Advisory Board members
Current Housing Corporation members
First Thursdays with the Phis leaders
General Officers/Committee members
Alumni club officers
Iron Phis who have raised $2,500 or more
Phi Delta Theta Foundation scholarship judges
Trustees Roundtable members of the current or previous fiscal year
Campaign 2030
lead donors
Sword & Shield Society members
Living Bond Society members
Donors with $25,000 or more in giving over past three years

There are many ways for alumni to engage with Phi Delta Theta. We’d love to know where your interest lies, so we can lead you to opportunities that make sense for you.
Phi Delta Theta has over 190,000 living alumni spread across the United States, Canada, and the world. Whether you are seeking networking opportunities and other alumni benefits or wish to contribute your talent and resources to our organization, we provide numerous opportunities to ensure that Phi Delta Theta remains your fraternity for life.
Alumni Event Support
If you plan to host an alumni event, GHQ would be happy to help! Here’s how we can support you and your group:
Find your audience.
GHQ has a database of more than 190,000 living alumni across the world. In many cases, we are able to locate brothers on your behalf. In addition, you can search for brothers through
myPhiDelt
, the online community exclusively for our members. Be sure to update your information in there, as well.
Promote your event.
GHQ will be happy to assist you in generating your email save-the-date and registration and sending it out to your group. Our experience shows us that the personal touch is important in driving responses. We can work with you to develop an effective marketing plan. We can provide you with an alumni list of your target audience. (Organizers must understand that any shared records are confidential and are only to be used for event planning.) In addition, we can publicize your event on our website and, in some cases, on social media.
Advisory services
. Our team at GHQ is prepared to discuss the best practices for hosting a successful alumni event. We can provide you with meaningful and helpful suggestions for activities catered to your group. Whether for your chapter specifically, an alumni club, or another group altogether, we can provide you with the support you need.
Coordinate speakers.
If you wish to have a GHQ staff member, General Council member, or another representative of Phi Delta Theta speak at your event, we can help to coordinate their attendance and remarks.

Handle registrations and payments.
Through myPhiDelt, GHQ can handle registration setup, track RSVPs, and collect funds for activities, if desired. There is a minimum expected attendance of fifty people for us to create the registration, and a fee of 5% per transaction will be assessed.

Alumni Weekend Sample Itinerary:
Friday Evening – Sunday
Hotel Accommodations:
Ensure room blocks are made at local hotels and communicate availability to alumni.
Friday:
Casual Get-Together:
For early arrivals, a casual meet-up with available chapter members. Dinner on your own.
Saturday:
Morning:
Breakfast with Members:
Kick off the day with a breakfast gathering between alumni and current chapter members.
Campus/House Tours:
After breakfast, offer guided tours of the campus and fraternity house, highlighting key landmarks and historical aspects.
Afternoon:
Lunch and/or Alumni-Member Activity:
Choose between lunch followed by an engaging alumni-member activity such as golf, networking, or a career workshop.
Evening:
Semi-Formal Dinner:
Host a semi-formal dinner featuring alumni, current members, and GHQ or campus professionals.
Casual Evening:
After dinner, alumni and members can gather for a relaxed evening event.

Breakfast and Departures:
A farewell breakfast for those leaving.
Evening:
Chapter Meeting Open to Alumni:
For alumni still in town, offer the option to attend the chapter meeting.
