Dear budding Pharmacists,
The phrase Pharmacy originated from the root word Pharma that is the knowledge and procedure of manufacturing as well as administration of drugs. The Pharmacy profession requires a complex and well-developed set of competencies for financially rewarding careers with opportunities for patient care, scientific research and innovation. By completing a Pharmacy course, there are many career options like manufacturing, research & development, quality assurance, community pharmacy, research organisation, drug regulatory, medical documentation, pharmacovigilance and healthcare, to name a few.
We provide hands-on experience for students, opportunities to students to get involved in research at all levels and also organise various conferences, workshops, seminars & industrial trips. We have well-equipped infrastructure and highly trained faculty members to provide expertise to train the young minds. We are backed by the Group’s own pharmaceutical companies like Martin & Harris Pharmaceuticals Private Limited, Walter Bushnell and ASG Biochem Private Limited. She also serves as a Pharmacovigilance Associate at ESIC Medical College & Hospital, Faridabad, under the Pharmacovigilance Programme of India (PvPI), Indian Pharmacopoeia Commission. She holds both a Master of Pharmacy (Pharmaceutical Chemistry) and a Bachelor of Pharmacy from Uttar Pradesh Technical University, securing 82% marks in both degrees and achieving 9th rank in the Uttar Pradesh Technical University merit list. She served as an Assistant Professor at Hygia Institute of Pharmaceutical Education and Research from 2013 to 2022 and am presently working as an Assistant Professor at Apeejay Satya University, Sohna, Gurugram.
Her academic expertise spans Medicinal Chemistry, Pharmaceutical Analysis, Pharmaceutical Inorganic Chemistry and Biochemistry, with practical experience in UV–Visible and FT-IR instrumentation. She has actively contributed to research through publications in reputed journals and participation in national and international conferences. She has also served as a reviewer for the IEEE and serving as Track Chair for a Special Session on Space Medicine and Biology.

Dr. Manju Rani
is a Assistant Professor at the School of behavioural science, Apeejay Stya University. She holds a Ph.D. in Psychology from Kurukshetra University, with her doctoral research focusing on the relationship between Rorschach indices and corresponding psychometric measures. With over a decade of experience in academia, research, and clinical settings, Dr. Rani brings a rich blend of theoretical knowledge and practical insight into her teaching. Her previous appointments include faculty positions at K.R. Mangalam University and Chaudhary Ranbir Singh University, as well as a research fellowship at NCERT.
Dr. Rani has published more than 14 research papers in reputed UGC-listed and peer-reviewed journals, and contributed over 15 book chapters in the areas of digital mental health, artificial intelligence in psychology, forensic psychology, and psychotherapy. She has presented her work at numerous national and international conferences, demonstrating her active engagement in scholarly discourse. Her key areas of expertise include projective and psychometric assessment, counselling and clinical psychology, technostress and digital wellbeing, personality studies, and inclusive education.
As an educator, Dr. Rani is deeply committed to academic mentorship, having successfully supervised 11 undergraduate and postgraduate dissertations and currently guiding 4 Ph.D. scholars. She is also actively involved in the development of interdisciplinary curriculum across liberal arts and psychology programs. Chaman Kumar is an Assistant Professor in the School of Engineering & Technology (SOET) with specialization in Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning. He completed his B.Tech and M.Tech in Computer Science & Engineering from UIET, Maharshi Dayanand University (MDU), Rohtak. His postgraduate thesis focused on Heart Attack Prediction using Support Vector Machine (SVM), reflecting his strong interest in applying machine learning techniques to solve real-world healthcare problems.
With two years of academic experience and one year of industry exposure, he brings a balanced perspective of theoretical knowledge and practical implementation to the classroom. He holds a Google Cloud Certification and actively integrates cloud-based AI solutions into teaching and research practices.

Mr. Chinmaya Sharma is a Pharma graduate from Amity University, Noida, and have completed Master’s degree in Pharmacy from Maharshi Dayanand University, Rohtak, specializing in Pharmaceutical Chemistry. He has also qualified for GPAT 2022 with an All India Rank of 878.
Currently, he is pursuing Ph.D. from the Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences, MDU Rohtak, where his research focuses on advancing knowledge in the field of novel therapeutic agents for cancer treatment. Trained with a strong base in strategic thinking and ideation from National Institute of Design Ahmedabad, Mr Sasi Gopal Menon has been working both as a design practitioner and a design educator/ academician since 1998. After his graduation in Industrial Design with specialisation in Product Design, he ventured into academics early on in his career. While his experience in academics gives him the necessary skills to strategize and roll out programmes with focus on Design Thinking, Design Methods and Design Research, his exposure in the field enables the translation of those strategies into real-time, responsive design projects.
As an educator, he has been instrumental in creating, setting up and successfully administering programmes in design for livelihoods, design foundation studies, product design, design strategy as well as training programmes for artisans and non-design students. As a design educator and strategist, his focus is on higher education and its relevance in creating responsible professionals for future needs and challenges. As an administrator, he is passionate about building an academic culture that is not only robust and relevant, but also takes the needs of all stakeholders into account.

Dr. Mansuri has an h-index of 13 and has authored more than 40 peer-reviewed research publications, along with several book chapters, and holds multiple patents. Her teaching philosophy integrates blended and experiential learning methodologies to enhance student engagement and practical understanding.
She teaches courses including Computer Applications in Pharmacy, Computer-Aided Drug Design, Medicinal Chemistry, and Regulatory Affairs to undergraduate and postgraduate students. She also actively supervises B.Pharm, M.Pharm, and Ph.D. scholars in research and dissertation projects.

Currently, Dr. Kumar serves as Associate Professor and Coordinator, School of Biosciences, at Apeejay Stya University. In addition to his teaching and research responsibilities, he plays a significant leadership role in academic administration, contributing at multiple levels including the School Coordinator to strengthen institutional development and governance.
Dr. Kumar earned his M.Sc. in Biotechnology from BU, Jhansi, and completed his Ph.D. in Biotechnology at CSIR-IGIB, Delhi & Department of Biotechnology, BU, Jhansi. His research and teaching interests encompass a broad spectrum of interdisciplinary areas, including biosensors, cytoskeleton proteins, diagnostic devices, bioprocessing, nanobiotechnology, and bioconjugation technologies.
He possesses specialized expertise in engineering miniaturized processes, actin protein engineering, biosensor development, and bioconjugation techniques. Dr. Kumar has successfully executed externally funded research projects as PI, including grants from SERB–DST, Govt of India. He has authored over 30 peer-reviewed research articles and book chapters, and his work has been widely disseminated through oral and poster presentations at national and international conferences. In addition, he actively contributes to the scientific community as a reviewer for several peer-reviewed journals.

Dr Vyas M Shingatgeri – MVSC, PhD, DICVP, Fellow of Society of Toxicology (SOTX), Member of SOT, STP & STPI – has a vast experience in the field of pathologic basis of the disease and has worked on areas of Oncology and Immuno-Toxicological Pathology during his postgraduate and doctoral research projects.
He started his professional career as Toxicologic Pathologist at Hindustan Ciba-Geigy Research Centre, Mumbai (till December 1984). Thereafter, he worked as a Research Fellow, pursuing his doctoral programme at the Cancer Research Center, Tata Memorial Center. He has been in academics for almost 12 years, teaching undergraduates, post-graduates and doctoral programme students at the Bombay Veterinary College.
Dr Shingatgeri has extensive industry working experience in the field of Laboratory Animal Sciences, Toxicology and Pathology. He is a qualified Laboratory Assessor for NABL Accreditation of Labs for testing and calibrations (ISO 17025), in addition to his role as a Faculty in GLP Trainings organised by NGCMA, especially during 2004 to 2014.
He has authored/co-authored 40 publications in the field of Toxicology & Pathology in various national and international journals.

He started his career as a freelance Film Editor and went on to work for commercial TV shows, advertisements, and music videos for various TV channels such as Doordarshan, SONY and ETV. Before joining Apeejay Stya University, Mr Pattnaik was working with the State University of Performing & Visual Arts, Rohtak, as a Faculty in the Department of Film Editing.
Mr Pattnaik has earned a degree in Film & Video Editing from Biju Pattnaik Film & Television Institute of Odisha, followed by a PG Diploma in Multimedia. His interests range from aesthetics of visual editing to sound design for fiction and non-fiction films.

With 40 years in broadcasting, Dr R Sreedher has done it all. Till recently, as the Director of Commonwealth Educational Media Centre for Asia (CEMCA), he has been working with Electronic media from 1972 onwards in various capacities. Dr Sreedher was the Director of Electronic Media Production Centre of Indira Gandhi National Open University from 1998-2003 and headed two Educational Multimedia Research centres of the UGC at Anna University Chennai and IIT Roorkee from 2003-2006.
Recognised as a pioneer in the field of Community Radio Stations in India, technology buff, Dr Sreedher is now focusing on various internet radio platforms (www.iradioindia.com ) such as one for the National Institute of Open Schooling & Yashwant Rao Chavan Open University and Radio Styavani for School of Journalism & Mass Communication, Apeejay Stya University.
He was involved in launching the Gyan Darshan Group of TV channels, including Vyas (the higher education channel of UGC) and Eklavya (the TV channel of the Indian Institute of Technology). Prof. Sanjay Ahirwal has over 25 years of experience in Broadcast Journalism. He has been a political reporter who carved a niche in reporting from areas of conflict, including Iraq, Afghanistan, Lebanon, Kargil, the Central Indian Maoists affected areas and the North Eastern States. Before becoming the Editorial Head of NDTV India, the Hindi News Channel of NDTV, Sanjay was the Chief of Bureau and the National Political Bureau Chief of NDTV. In 2012, he moved to NDTV Worldwide as its Managing Editor. He has conducted workshops for broadcast journalists in Malaysia, Kenya, Tanzania, Bangladesh and in several states in India. He has been teaching students of Broadcast Journalism for more than 6 years. Sanjay has devised and implemented modules on ‘One Newsroom’ and ‘Art of Storytelling’ both for working professionals and students. Mr Ahirwal holds a Master’s Degree in English Literature from Delhi University and did B.A. (H) in English Literature from St. Stephen’s College, Delhi. She has worked with craft clusters on revival projects of Indian traditional crafts, has established training centres for the minority communities in collaboration with the State and Central Govt. with the Ministry of HRD. Dr. Shatakshi Srivastava is an experienced academician and researcher with over 16 years of engagement in scientific research, higher education, and national-level academic programme implementation. Her professional journey reflects a consistent commitment to strengthening teaching–learning practices, research culture, and institutional development through capacity-building initiatives.
With a doctoral specialization in Chemistry and Biomedical Research, her work connects fundamental science with translational and emerging applications. Her research contributions include book with Springer Nature, various book chapter, peer-reviewed publications, systematic reviews, and interdisciplinary collaborations in metabolomics, biomedical sciences, and AI-enabled health research. She has served as Co-Principal Investigator on funded research projects, wrote various research proposals for DBT, DST and SERB, collaborated with multiple CSIR, DST and DBT funded laboratories and institutions and contributes as a reviewer for international journals. Her research interests align with contemporary focus areas such as interdisciplinary science, translational research, and metabolomics.
Dr. Srivastava has actively contributed to academic programme design and faculty development. She has conceptualized and implemented numerous national-level Faculty Development Programmes, Refresher Courses, national conferences and professional development initiatives aligned with NEP 2020 and national priorities. Through these initiatives, she has engaged over 1,000 faculty members and collaborated with more than 100 subject experts, promoting academic quality, research ethics, and pedagogical innovation.
She is Nodal Officer and Single Point of Contact for key national initiatives including the Association of Indian Universities–Academic and Administrative Development Centre (AIU-AADC), SWAYAM-NPTEL Local Chapter, and the ISRO–START Programme, strengthening institutional engagement with national academic and government bodies.
