Applied Technology - Advanced Processes
Feeds, speeds and rapid prototyping
Sound exciting? It should!
Today’s manufacturing industries offer a fast-paced environment where there is never a dull moment. And the same can be said of our Advanced Processes program.
We provide laser-sharp (literally), industry-sanctioned training in computer-aided design (CAD), computer-aided manufacturing (CAM) software and computer numerical control (CNC).
That means CAD-CAM software that can design and produce 3D models and CNC machines that can make cuts accurate to 10,000
th
of an inch.
We maintain working relationships with local manufacturers to make sure we get it right so when you complete our program, your skills will be as precise as the tools of your trade!

Product-driven training
In our hands-on labs, you will manufacture a functional product using all the CNC skills you’ve gained:
Grinding
Lathe programming
Machining
Milling
Modeling
Reverse engineering
And, of course: feeds, speeds and rapid prototyping!
And you will learn using the same machines, machine tools, fittings and software that you will work with in real-world manufacturing, including:
HAAS Automation (we’re actually one of their Technical Education centers)
Belmont
Bridgeport
Accutex
Dimension
Faro
CimatronE
MastercamX
Artcam
Rapidform
Catia

As many jobs as products
In our program, choose to earn a certificate or an associate degree – you can always come back for the latter.
Either way, you will discover the diverse opportunities offered in manufacturing, where the products include everything from artificial limbs to aircraft parts.
Not to mention string guitars, hot rod cars, and cell phones and chargers.
With the skills and knowledge you gain in this program, you’ll be qualified for CNC programming positions in a variety of industries, including:
Aerospace
Automotive
Defense
Industrial
Medical
And if you need help finding, preparing or applying for a job,
Career Services
is here to offer an assist, including interview-coaching and resume critiquing.
