Contest a Parking Citation:
If your vehicle was issued a parking citation and you believe the citation was issued in error, or if you wish to contest the violation, please visit

. There are time restrictions for paying the fine and for contesting the citation. Parking citations left unpaid are subject to delinquent fees which may be applied to the vehicle registration.
Important Information Regarding the Contesting of Parking Violations:
Per California Vehicle Code Section 40215, you may contest a parking citation by the following process:
1.  Completing an Administrative Review Form is the first step in contesting a parking citation.

. This request must be made within 21 days of the issuance of a Notice of Parking Violation (citation) or within 14 days of the mailing of a Notice of Delinquent Parking Violation. Complete the form and mail it to:

Please include any items to support your request, including photocopies of placards, permits, photographs, or sketches. Please allow 2-4 weeks for the review process. You will be notified via mail of the review finding.
2.  If you disagree with the results of your Administrative Review, you may deposit the parking violation fine amount and request a hearing before a Hearing Officer. This request must be made within 21 days of the mailing of the results of the Administrative Review.
3. If you are not satisfied with the results of your hearing, you may file an appeal with the Pasadena Superior Court. This appeal must be filed within 30 days and there is a $25.00 filing fee. To arrange for an appeal and pay for the filing fee, please visit the Los Angeles Superior Court at 111 N. Hill St. Room 102, Los Angeles, CA 90012. If you are found liable of the parking violation, the Superior Court will keep the filing fee. If you are found not liable of the parking violation, the City of Arcadia will refund your filing fee and parking fine deposit.
