Over the past five years, SorSU has seen an impressive influx of 17,095 undergraduate students from the region, each contributing to the university’s vibrant academic and social environment.

SorSU Cares
Sorsogon State University upholds its social responsibility be extending humanitarian aid and service to communities in need.
During the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic, SorSU (then Sorsogon State College) initiated relief operations, fund raising programs,
and produced product innovation to help alleviate the lives of affected communities.

First Covid-19 Quarantine Center in the Philippines
using State University and Colleges (SUC) facilities for Persons Under Monitoring
Sorsogon has established the first provincial quarantine center in Bicol Region at Sorsogon State University (then Sorsogon State College) to house persons under monitoring (PUMs) in view of the corona virus disease (COVID-19) pandemic.
(*People without coronavirus symptoms who have been to regions where travel restrictions have been set or who have previously been exposed to the novel virus are referred to as PUMs.)
