ALL YEAR LONG
Teens, Parents, Aunties, Grannies: Get the information you need. Got a problem, a body question, a developmental milestone? We can talk. We have knowledge and experience. Join our public health initiative providing resources to kids approaching puberty and going through puberty. It’s complicated but simple conversations can make so much sense and make everything easier.
SUMMER CAMP 2026
Summer Camp is a 5-Day Curriculum Overview (2.5 hours per day)
Each day has a theme, a mix of interactive activities, reflection, and safe space discussions. It blends science, self-awareness, and practical tools with creative, age-appropriate learning.
CURRICULUM
Day 1: My Amazing Body
Theme: Anatomy, Puberty & Body Changes
Goals:
Understand female anatomy and puberty in a shame-free, accurate way.
Normalize body diversity and changes.
Activities:
“Body Map Match-Up” Game: Group activity where girls match terms (e.g. ovaries, uterus) to a body diagram.
Puberty Timeline Cards: Teams sort body changes in the order they typically occur.
Reflection Journals: “What surprised me? What do I want to know more about?”
Open Q&A Box: Anonymous questions answered by a health educator.
Day 2: Period Power
Theme: Menstruation & Self-Care
Goals:
De-mystify periods and menstrual cycles.
Build confidence in managing periods at school and home.
Activities:
Cycle Tracker Craft: Make a simple DIY menstrual calendar with stickers.
Demo Stations: Learn about pads, tampons, period underwear, and menstrual cups.
Period Mythbusters: Small groups tackle common myths (e.g., “You can’t swim on your period!”).
Create-a-Kit: Build your own period kit for school bags.
Day 3: Feelings, Friendships & Consent
Theme: Emotions, Boundaries & Healthy Relationships
Goals:
Recognize emotions, boundaries, and respect in relationships.
Learn what consent really means (not just about sex).
Activities:
Consent Circle Roleplay: Use real-life scenarios to practice giving/refusing consent (hug, photo, borrowing items).
Red/Green Flags Game: Evaluate behaviors in friendships and dating.
Emotion Check Cards: Express and label emotions in everyday situations.
Create a “Respect Code”: Groups design posters of what respect looks like to them.
Day 4: Safe Sex 101 (Age-Appropriate)
Theme: Contraception, STIs & Pregnancy Prevention
Goals:
Introduce safe sex practices and the basics of pregnancy and STI prevention.
Emphasize personal choice and access to care without stigma.
Activities:
“Fact or Fiction” Showdown: Debunk myths about sex and pregnancy.
Contraceptive Toolbox Demo: Display and explain birth control types (age-appropriate, factual, without pressure).
STI Super Sleuth: Interactive stations where girls ‘diagnose’ fictional cases to learn about common STIs.
Anonymous Question Wall: Health educator answers submitted questions.
Day 5: My Voice, My Power
Theme: Self-Advocacy & Wrap-Up Celebration
Goals:
Strengthen decision-making and communication.
Celebrate knowledge and self-worth.
Activities:
“Speak Up” Scenarios: Practice assertive communication in tough situations.
Vision Board Craft: Create boards with empowering quotes, goals, and dreams.
Guest Speaker: Young female health advocate or peer educator shares her story.
Power Pledge Circle: Each girl writes and shares a personal affirmation.
Closing Ceremony: Receive “Power Up” certificates and take-home resources.
