ASU Prep Digital offers a wide range of virtual clubs and extracurricular activities designed to help students connect, collaborate and explore their passions.
From art and music to exploring STEM, cooking and nature, there’s something for every interest and grade level. These clubs offer a welcoming space to try new things, build friendships and explore passions in a supportive online community.

Do you love to draw or want to learn how to draw better? Unleash your creativity in our K–5 Art Club. Classes include drawing, cartooning, painting and mixed media.
3–5 Advanced Art
Creative expression gives voice to our dreams, ideas and stories! Continue your art journey with advanced-level learning in drawing, cartooning, painting, clay/sculpture and mixed media.
K–2 Chess Club
Embark on an exciting journey of strategy and fun by joining our K-2nd Chess Club, where young minds learn to master the timeless game of chess while building critical thinking skills and making new friends!
Let’s learn the basics of chess and participate in mini-tournaments. Bring your enthusiasm and let’s have a great time!
3–5 Intermediate Chess Club
Are you ready to sharpen your mind, meet new friends and have fun while playing the ultimate game of strategy? Whether you’re a seasoned player or just starting, our chess club is the perfect and safe place to enjoy the game of kings.
3–5 Digital STEM Club
Calling all scientists to join our 3rd – 5th STEM club! We will conduct fun hands-on activities using materials easily found at home. Join us to nurture creativity and imagination while experiencing the engineering and design process through a series of challenges in the areas of science, technology, engineering and math.
K–2 LEGO Club
Join our club to build, create and have fun with LEGOs! Sign up to unleash your imagination and share your amazing creations with new friends.

Young architects and engineers in grades 3–5 are invited to join us for LEGO building fun! Come make new friends and share your passion for LEGOs! Enjoy challenges with your peers and get ready to make some fun builds!

Are you dynamic? Do people think of you as a leader? Are you interested in elevating your future? Join Sparky’s Friends and Fun to plan school-wide events for grades 3–5, boost your leadership skills, enhance your growth mindset, learn to be a peacekeeper and stretch your teambuilding skills.

Come sing, dance and play music! We’ll put together rhythm instruments consisting of various items you can find at home. Join the fun!
K–2 Animals and Nature Club
Explore the wild world from your own backyard! Join our digital animals and nature club to embark on exciting adventures across the globe. Through nature-inspired crafts, fun games and hands-on activities, you’ll become a true nature expert. Whether you’re passionate about playful penguins or curious about colorful butterflies, there’s something for every animal enthusiast. Get ready to roar, soar and explore!
3–5 Animals and Nature Club
Are you curious about animals, plants, trees and flowers? Do you like to be outdoors exploring nature? This is the club for you! Join us for 8 weeks of crafts, books, games, experiments and virtual field trips to learn more about the natural world around us. Each week, we will focus on a different biome to explore. It will be an adventure you won’t want to miss!
K–5 Sign Language Club
Would you like to learn a new language? American Sign Language is an expressive language that uses hand movements, facial expressions and body language to communicate. Come meet new friends and discover a way to communicate and express yourself creatively.
K–2 & 3–5 Cooking Club
Join us in making fun recipes each week! We will make easy snacks and treats for you to enjoy.
Spanish Club
We will take you all around the world with food, music, dance, art and language.
Middle and high school clubs
ASU Prep Digital middle and high school clubs give students meaningful opportunities to explore interests, build leadership skills and connect with peers who share similar goals.
Through collaborative activities and student-led experiences, learners strengthen communication, teamwork and confidence while contributing to an active online school community.
When can I join a club at ASU Prep Digital?
Sign up during the first few weeks of the fall semester.
Students are encouraged to choose clubs that best align with their interests and academic goals. To ensure a high-quality experience for all participants, club membership follows clear participation and eligibility guidelines.
How do I join and participate in clubs?
Students may join one club per academic year.
If space becomes available after the first month of a term, students may apply to join a second club.
Students must remain in good academic standing to participate in clubs.
What should I do if I want to join an additional club?
Maintain good academic standing, including regular course participation and required attendance minutes
Complete an additional club permission form
Request a letter of recommendation from their Learning Success Coach
Ensure the recommendation and parent permission form are received by the club sponsor
How do I change clubs?
If a student feels their current club is not the right fit, they may request to change clubs based on availability. To do so, students should:
Email the current club advisor to explain the request to leave the club
Email the club academic coordinator to request enrollment in a different club
All club changes are subject to space and eligibility requirements.

Human beings have been playing a version of this game for over 1,400 years – join the chess club to find out why people are fascinated with this simple game of strategy. Global Exchange
The Global Exchange Club is dedicated to fostering cross-cultural understanding, appreciation, and connection among ASU Prep Digital students. As an essential part of our school, this club embraces diversity and promotes global awareness. Through engaging activities and events, we aim to create an enriching environment where students can explore and celebrate the unique cultures and nationalities represented, making it a truly exciting experience. If you’re interested in joining us on this journey, we welcome you to be a part of our club.
Personal Finance
ASU Prep Digital students gain financial literacy and the tools to pursue careers economics. This club will also allow students the opportunity to explore different potential careers in finance. During meetings, the club will focus on providing education and opportunities for better understanding on how to trade stocks, stock options, and stock investments. This club is open to students who wish to participate in the Personal Finance Seal or have a love of financial literacy.
Vet Club
Learn all about creatures, great and small! If you are interested in working with animals, either in the veterinary field or just to learn about animal husbandry, then please join us to learn more about the animal kingdom! You will be presented with volunteer opportunities, as well as engaging field trips!
Chess Club

Photography
The ASUPD Photography Club will be a place for students to further their knowledge of photography with help from others, and also be able to help other students. The ASUPD Photography club will align with ASU Prep Academy’s mission and core values by promoting innovation, access, impact outcomes, curiosity, collaboration, disruption, and individuality among its members.
Drama Club
The ASUPD High School Drama Club offers students opportunities to investigate drama and theatre, as well as to participate in student and teacher-led dramatic activities, such as improvisational skits, dialogues, monologues, poetry readings, play-writing, and live performance. No tryouts/auditions are necessary, all are welcome!
French Club
Do you dream of traveling to France or Europe one day? If your answer is “yes,” then French Club is for you! Join us as we take a deep dive into French music, movies, fashion, food, travel, & MORE! Not enrolled in French? No problem! All are welcome!
Gaming Club
Who doesn’t love to play games? Join us for the 3rd year of the ASUPD gaming club. We do all things gaming, we talk about and play games. The gaming club will also host a community game night!
Model UN
Model United Nations is an academic based club to help students learn about world politics, sharpen their debate and negotiation skills, and participate in conferences!
Movie Club
Are you interested in movies? Movie club is the place to discuss your favorite movies, explore current trends in film, or even create/share your own film project. There will be new themes every week chosen by club members. Come stop by to share about your favorite movie or something you have created!
National Honors Society
The National Honor Society (NHS) stands as a beacon of intellectual rigor, a celebration of service, a paragon of leadership, and a champion of character. Join us in this remarkable journey, as we celebrate scholarship, service, leadership, and character.
Peer Tutoring
The mission of our club is to help students achieve greater success at ASUPD by building strong peer relationships. Tutors provide individual and/or group tutoring to students across a broad range of courses.
Student Ambassadors
The Student Ambassador Program is a student volunteer opportunity which allows students to represent our school in a way that shows positivity, support and kindness to new students joining our ASUPD family. If you want to give service to others, give back to your ASUPD community, represent ASUPD, earn volunteer hours for Senior Seminar and/or Scholarship Applications, and meet new friends, then this is the Club for you!
As a Student Ambassador, you will be matched with new students to help be a support and guide for them as they join our school. We know that LSCs and teachers are great supports for students, but there is nothing better than having a student expert to help answer questions that arise for new students. As a Student Ambassador, you will be one of the first people our new students will meet.
Student Blog
Do you want to be a published writer? Join the Blog! All bloggers’ work will be published on the ASUPD website. We meet weekly to discuss our monthly topics, peer review, and have fun writing activities. Our topics are chosen by the bloggers themselves!
Club member responsibilities and sponsor support
ASU Prep Digital clubs are guided by certified staff sponsors who help ensure a safe, organized and engaging experience for all students. Successful clubs are built on strong communication, shared responsibility and respect for the sponsor’s role.
How should I work with a club sponsor?
Club members and officers are expected to:
Respect the sponsor as an integral part of the club.
Coordinate meeting dates and times with the sponsor’s schedule.
Hold all meetings and events with a sponsor present.
Use the sponsor’s ASU Prep Digital Zoom room for meetings.
Keep the sponsor informed of the club’s plans, activities and events.
Seek guidance from the sponsor when planning meetings or projects.
What are conduct and attendance expectations?
Students lead meetings using an agenda, with sponsors supporting culture, safety and participation.
All club members must follow the ASU Prep Digital Student Code of Conduct.
Behavioral concerns are addressed by the school administration.
Students may be removed from a club or future club participation if expectations are not met.
How can I start a new club?
Students may propose new clubs based on shared interests and community needs. All clubs must complete an approval process before becoming active.
Important guidelines to know:
Each club must have a certified sponsor.
National organizations may have additional membership or chapter requirements.
Club approval is based on student interest, available resources and school priorities.
Submitting an application does not guarantee approval.
Applications for new clubs open on May 1 of each school year. All applications should be submitted by May 31 to be considered. Click
