It provides valuable opportunities for students to consolidate what they have learned in lessons and to prepare effectively for their GCSE examinations. Homework tasks are mainly recall-based activities , designed to create a strong baseline of knowledge. Research shows that recall practice improves retention, which can then be expanded during lessons to support long-term academic success. Online platforms also make homework more accessible and provide instant feedback, helping your child monitor their progress. MyChildatSchool (MCAS) Parent App Parents and carers can access their child’s homework via the MCAS app . By downloading the app, you will be able to support your child with their organisation and completion of homework tasks. Ensure there is a quiet place for students to do homework. Help your child by testing them regularly. Homework tasks should take approximately 1 hour All students are expected to complete the homework set in every subject. To support this, students may use the Academy library after school, and there are lunchtime clubs in various subjects where staff provide guidance.
