Please
We are here to help students navigate the transfer admission process, understand how credits transfer, assist with solving transfer problems and participate in scheduling and advising for incoming transfer students.
What is a transfer student?
You are a transfer student if you are currently attending, or have attended, a community college or other four-year college/university after high school graduation or earning a GED. You are transferring to CMU from a different college/university.

Official College Transcripts
Must provide official transcript directly from every college/university attended, regardless of the type or amount of credit, academic status or time elapsed since credit was earned. CMU utilizes the National Student Clearinghouse to verify that all college transcripts are received for applicants.
Failure to provide all college transcripts is grounds for rejection or dismissal.
If you have NOT yet completed 24 college credits after high school, we also require official high school transcripts or GED scores
Academic qualifications
A minimum cumulative transfer GPA of 2.40 from all previously attended universities is generally required. Students with less than 2.40 GPA are still encouraged to apply.
College credit earned during high school or military service
If you earned college credit during high school, please have your official transcripts and/or test results sent directly to the Colorado Mesa University Admissions Office to be included in your
transfer evaluation
. CMU will review transfer credit through Advanced Placement (AP), International Baccalaureate (IB), College Level Examination Program (CLEP) exams or concurrent college/university courses.
If you earned college credit in the military, visit the
Veteran Services
page to learn how to request your transcript.
