Pre-K4 and Kindergarten
Academics
Our Pre-K4 and Kindergarten curricula are designed to spark creativity, curiosity as well as to establish strong academic foundations through hands-on, interactive methodologies. Students are introduced to phonics work, letter formations and writing through small group learning and one-on-one interactions with their teachers. In addition to daily practice in their phonics/reading, writing, and math/science skills, students attend art, drama/music, P.E., and Spanish classes several times a week. Students are also introduced to
Second Step
, our Social Emotional Learning (SEL) program. Our SEL program helps students work together in the classroom, to express their emotions using their words, and to grow into independent individuals in a safe and warm environment.

Kindergarten: From Phonics to Reading
Kindergarten begins using the Teachers’ College Writing Workshop (Columbia University)
Kindergarten begins using Math in Focus: Singapore Math
Pre-K4 & Kindergarten: Sonrisas for Spanish Instruction
Pre-K4 begins using
Families in Nature
as a supplemental tool for Life Sciences and to encourage using the outdoors as a classroom
Kindergarten begins using Studies Weekly for Social Studies and Science
