Progress of Waikouaiti Area
POWA (Progress of Waikouaiti Area) is a community organisation established 27 years ago in 1992.
"The size and dynamic of our community has changed markedly in those 27 years. However we believe that our purpose for being is still very relevant today, if not more so."
POWA is all about having a strong connection with the community.
Our mission is to sustain processes which mobilise our community’s strengths and resources in community-led action to the benefit of the area, its residents, families/whanau and environment.
