Adventist Health White Memorial takes pride in offering a welcoming, safe, and healing environment. For the safety, security, and wellness of our patients, staff, and visitors, we kindly ask that you adhere to our policies and procedures.

Visiting hours and policies
We encourage family and friends to visit their loved ones while in our care. Our daily hospital visiting hours are from 12 p.m. – 9 p.m. For the health and safety of patients and staff, all visitors must adhere to these policies:
Check-in at the front desk near our main entrance and obtain a badge to wear during your visit. Badge must remain visible at all times and is valid for one calendar day.
Children under the age of 12 should be accompanied by an adult other than the patient.
Visitors who are ill or have been recently exposed to a communicable disease will not be permitted to enter the hospital. If you are experiencing symptoms of an illness, please refrain from visiting for the safety of all patients.

Rules and guidelines for behavior
We are committed to providing a safe, comfortable, caring environment for all patients and families conducive to healing and recovery. Please respect the rules and regulations of the medical center and follow directions from the staff or security personnel. Please be respectful of others' personal property and be considerate to all patients, visitors, family, and staff. By minimizing noise and other unnecessary distractions, you can help us maintain a pleasant atmosphere for all.
Areas with specific guidelines
Our nursing staff may change or limit visitation in certain situations, including infection control and concerns with patient care and behavior. Please speak with a member of our staff if you have any questions. Thank you for your support and cooperation.
Areas with specific visitor guidelines include:
ICU:
Family and visitors are requested to wait in the assigned ICU waiting room after receiving a visitor ID badge.
Acute rehab:
Limited to one family member, who may stay the night.
Labor and delivery:
Primary support person may visit at any time.
NICU:
Parent or guardian may visit at any time. Non-sibling visitors under age 12 are not allowed.
Pediatrics:
Parents and guardians may visit at any time. Non-sibling visitors under age 12 are not allowed.
Personal belongings
We are committed to providing a safe and secure environment for you and your belongings. However, we do not assume responsibility for valuables kept by you. Adventist Health White Memorial is not responsible for any lost or stolen belongings while you are on the medical center’s property. We discourage you from bringing expensive jewelry, handheld games, personal electronic devices, and other valuables into the medical center.
Electrical appliances
We are committed to providing a safe environment for our patients. For this reason, we discourage the use of personal appliances. Please do not bring hair dryers, curling irons, radios, and clocks to the medical center, if at all possible. If you do bring any household electrical appliances, please check with your nurse before using them.
Language services
If you need translation services or services for the hearing impaired, please call extension 30300.
Discharge Information
When you are well enough to leave the medical center, you will be informed of an estimated discharge time. You will need to make your own arrangements for transportation. If you need resources regarding transportation, please inform your nurse or case manager prior to the day of discharge, if possible.
