About the Department
The Department of Education was established in 2021 after the bifurcation of departments of Education and Sociology is dedicated to preparing future teachers who are equipped to meet the rapidly evolving educational and social needs of today’s world. Our programs B.Ed (4 years), B.Ed. (1.5 year) and B.Ed (2.5 year) are designed to equip students with critical thinking, instructional skills and a deep sense of responsibility towards nurturing young minds in diverse educational settings. We believe that educators must develop a broad worldview, cultural sensitivity, and an understanding of global challenges in order to inspire the same values in their learners.

To emerge as a leading teacher-education institution in the region, recognized for excellence in teaching, learning, and research. The department strives to prepare reflective educators, innovative researchers, and dynamic leaders who are guided by the values and ideology of Islam and Pakistan, committed to promoting diversity, inclusion, and the collective well-being of humanity.

To provide academic leadership and foster a culture of inspiration and lifelong learning by ensuring the holistic development of educators, researchers, and educational leaders. The department is dedicated to strengthening knowledge, skills, and professional attitudes through the application of research-based practices, effective integration of technology, and continuous analysis and improvement of educational policies and practices. It also aims to contribute meaningfully to the advancement of the education profession at local, national, and global levels.

Research Focus
The research focus of the department centers on critical issues related to the education system in Pakistan. It aims to explore, analyze, and provide solutions to challenges affecting the quality and effectiveness of education. Key areas of research include, issues in effective learning, curriculum design and development, classroom teaching practices, guidance and counselling, educational policy and reform use of technology in teaching learning process and equity and access in education etc.
Achievements
Successful Establishment and Growth Established as an independent department after bifurcation, the department has developed a strong academic structure and expanded its programs to meet modern educational needs.
Quality Teacher Education Programs Successfully launched and implemented B.Ed (4 years), B.Ed (1.5 year), and B.Ed (2.5 year) programs aligned with national and international standards.
Highly Qualified Faculty Recruitment Built a team of dedicated and experienced faculty members contributing to effective teaching, mentoring, and research supervision.
Research Contributions Faculty and students have actively engaged in research addressing key educational issues such as curriculum development, teaching methodologies, and policy reforms.
