About the Department
The Department of Public Service is part of Vermont’s Executive Branch of state government. The Department represents the public interest in energy, telecommunications, water, and wastewater utility matters.
The Department’s mission is to serve Vermonters through public advocacy, planning, and programs that support affordable, reliable, safe, and environmentally responsible utility services.
