Room hire at Marjon
If you’re looking to hold an event, whether personal or business related, we’ll have something to fit your
needs. At Marjon there is a range of bookable spaces, from professional meeting rooms and lecture
theatres to entertainment venues like Barjon and The Quad Theatre with capacity from 10 to 400
people. Plus, first-class sport facilities available to hire.
Marjon is located in the north of Plymouth, next to Derriford Hospital and the Science Park, and is well-connected with good road and public transport links to the City Centre and beyond.
Spaces for hire
We provide a range of bookable spaces, from professional meeting rooms and seminar spaces to first-class sport facilities.
Room hire prices range from £150 to £400. Rates also vary depending on if you require a full day or half day/evening booking. Below is an example of the hire costs.

Facilities
Our spaces are equipped with audio-visual technology and Wi-Fi, toilets are available at frequent locations across the site.
Catering
Chartwells, our catering provider, can supply you with a variety of quality refreshments and meals suitable for all budgets and needs.

Accessibility
Our campus is accessible and includes disabled parking bays, accessible toilets, and lift facilities. Additional support can be provided where requested.
Transport & Parking
You can find us in north Plymouth, next to Derriford Hospital and Plymouth Science Park, well-connected by road and public transport. The University is signposted on major routes and has parking for more than 300 vehicles, including electric vehicle charging bays. Parking can be paid for via the RingGo app.

Depending on the nature of your event, there might be additional costs required:
Security £20 per hour + VAT (security may be needed depending on the type of event you are booking. We can discuss this with you during the booking process)
Accommodation
If any of your party needs to stay overnight, there are two hotels close to campus:

Marjon IT & Access
As an educational establishment some of our bookable venues have access to smart screens, presentation equipment – let us know what you need, and we will do our best to cater for your event.
