What is a Gold Card?
Are you 60 years young? Are you interested in learning a new language,
taking an art class or using the Fitness Center? We have a program specifically for
you!
A Gold Card allows eligible individuals, age 60 or older, to audit classes at a reduced
tuition rate. Registration is on a space available basis for a maximum of two classes
per quarter.
Conditions:
You must be 60 years of age or older.
You must be a Washington State resident for the previous 12 months.
Classes must have a seat available at the time of registration
A class taken at reduced tuition rate must be audited, and not eligible for transfer.

How much does it cost?
Currently, the cost is $1.00 per class plus $4.00 per credit plus any applicable class
fees, books, supplies and/or lab fees.
What classes may I enroll?
You are eligible to enroll in any CBC class, with the exception of special fee and
self-support classes. Limit of two classes per quarter.
When can I register?
You can register for the Fitness Center as soon as registration is open for current
students. See

For all other classes, you are eligible to enroll begining the third day of each quarter.
Enrollment is contingent upon seat availability and instructor permission. Register
in person at

How do I enroll?

You will need to complete the Gold Card and Fitness Center Registration form. Forms
are available for pick-up at Hawk Central.
If this is your first quarter, you will also need to provide your driver's license
or state identification card for verification purposes.
Do I get an ID card?
Yes! Once you are registered for classes and paid applicable tuition and fees, you
are eligible for an ID card. Bring your photo ID and a copy of your paid registration
to the
Student ID Center
in the H builidng.
Will I receive a grade?
No. A class taken for reduced tuition must be audited. This means you will not earn
college credit.
Do I need instructor permission?
For classes other than Fitness Center, you must get permission from the instructor
for late enrollment and to audit the class. The registration form is available for
pick-up at Hawk Central.
May I take a class that requires a prerequisite?
Yes, contingent upon approval. You must submit a
Prerequisite Override Request
form signed by the instructor and the dean or department lead. This form is available
online and at

presentations, athlectics and other campus entertainment at reduced or free rate!
