Act 48 Requirements
Act 48 requires all Pennsylvania educators who are currently holding a Pennsylvania public school certification to participate in ongoing professional education. This includes educators holding an Educational Specialist I and II Certificate, Instructional I and II Certificate, Administrative, Letters of Eligibility, Supervisory, and Vocational Certificates. School Nurse Requirements
In order to be considered for a School Nurse position, you must hold all of the following:
Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing
Valid Nursing License from the State Board of Nursing
School Nurse Certificate from the PA Department of Education as an Instructional Specialist
