Open House
- Students in grades 6-8 and prospective transfers are invited to meet our teachers, coaches, members of the administration, and current students at our
Spring Open House, scheduled for April 16 at 6:30pm
. Hear about our courses and co-curricular activities and see how we have made our historic campus a center of contemporary and innovative learning. Designed to ignite your curiosity, our “Blaze Your Own Trail” format lets you customize your experience while exploring all of our academic areas.

. Meet our Athletic Director, Trainer, coaches, and student athletes to learn more about the Mount's athletic offerings.

Private Tour
-  Not able to attend an Open House? We invite families with students in grade 8 to schedule an appointment to tour our beautiful campus, speak with community members, and meet with the Director of Admissions, tours will begin in November. Families with students in grade 7 may schedule tours beginning in Spring.

Mountie for a Day
- Led by our student ambassadors and designed to offer insight into student life at the Mount, visitors will attend classes, meet teachers and staff, and see the Mount through their own eyes. We’ll end the visit with lunch on us!

Visits begin October 16, 2025 for students in Grade 8. Students in 7th grade may schedule these visits beginning in the Spring.
The application process begins once you have submitted an Applicant Profile which provides preliminary biographical and family information. The application fee is $55, payable online with the Applicant Profile submission. Once the Applicant Profile has been submitted, you will have access to the Mount’s admission portal, which includes your application checklist of required support materials.

To complete your application, the following supporting materials are required:
Current Teacher Recommendation
: The Mount requires one recommendation from a current teacher or principal. The form will be available on your application checklist found in the admission portal. Through our system you will be able to email the teacher directly the confidential form. The recommendation form will provide insight regarding your daughter’s academic, social, and emotional development.
Recommendations should only come from individuals who know your daughter well.
Release of Records:
This form will become available on your application checklist found in the admission portal. Through our system you will be able to email your daughter’s current school directly to submit official transcripts. We ask for official transcripts from the current academic year and at least two previous years.
Official transcripts must come directly from the school; we cannot accept copies of report cards from parents.
Mountie for a Day Visit:
Applicants are required to schedule a Mountie for a Day visit through the application checklist. Led by our student ambassadors and designed to offer insight into student life at the Mount, visitors will attend classes, meet teachers and staff, and see the Mount through their own eyes. We’ll end the visit with lunch on us!
Interview:
After submitting the Applicant Profile, you will be able to schedule your daughter’s interview. This one-on-one conversation allows us to learn more about your daughter’s interests, experiences, and goals while also giving her the chance to ask questions and share what excites her most about joining the Mount community. During this time, parents or guardians will also meet with the Head of School.
Prep for Success Course - This Course is
SOLD OUT
The MSDA Prep for Success HSPT prep course for girls in Grade 8 will run from 9:00am  to 11:45am on the following Saturdays in October:
October 4, October 11, October 18, and October 25. The course provides an excellent opportunity to prepare students for the High School Placement Test (HSPT) through an intensive review of mathematics, reading, language arts skills, instruction in quantitative and verbal reasoning, and general test taking strategies. The cost is $125 per session or $400 for all four. It is strongly recommended that students attend all four sessions as different topics are covered each week.  Space is limited. (This course is now SOLD OUT)

All applicants must take either the
HSPT (High School Placement Test)
or the
SSAT (Secondary School Admission Test)
. The Mount will host three paper-based testing dates in the Fall/ Winter.

Please Note: Priority applicants must take and submit test scores by
December 4, 2025
. Scores submitted after that date will be part of rolling admissions.

Rolling Applications
All applications completed after December 5, 2025 will be reviewed and decisions rendered on a rolling basis.
All materials must be submitted for applications to be considered complete and reviewed by the Admissions Committee.
