Outreach
The Center for Latin American Studies' Outreach Program provides resources and opportunities related to Latin America and the Caribbean to K-16 educators and the community throughout the United States. Program priorities include less commonly taught languages, language for specific purposes, science education, and building linkages between education, industry, and the community.
The Center coordinates a variety of cultural events that are open to the public, including art exhibits, musical and dance performances, lectures, and film festivals. You can view our upcoming events on the Center's

Teacher Resources
The Outreach Program at the Center for Latin American Studies provides a variety of resources to support K-16 teachers integrating Latin America into their curriculum. Resources include our Traveling Suitcases, virtual guest visits, the lending library, and more.

The Center for Latin American Studies Outreach Program offers a variety of opportunities for K-16 professional development, including workshops, a teacher institute, and global education conferences.

The Center for Latin American Studies in collaboration with the UF International Center provides a variety of virtual exchange training opportunities for faculty across the University of Florida.

Library Travel Grants
The University of Florida Center for Latin American Studies sponsors Library Travel Research Grants for Spring and Summer. The purpose of these grants is to enable faculty researchers from other U.S. colleges and universities to use the extensive resources of the Latin American and Caribbean Collection in the University of Florida Libraries, thereby enhancing its value as a national resource.
