KUPPAM • ANDHRA PRADESH • ESTD. 1997
Established in 1997 by the Government of Andhra Pradesh with the
support of Tamil Nadu, Karnataka and Kerala, Dravidian University
is dedicated to the integrated development of Dravidian languages,
literature, culture, folklore, history and tribal studies. Located
at the tri-junction of three states, it serves as a beacon of
higher education in this region.

About
The School of Science and Technology comprises four departments which are Department of Computer Science and Technology, Department of Mathematics, Department of Statistics and Department of Library and Information Science to impart research-oriented education and pursue high quality research in emerging areas encompassing Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics and Library and Information Science. The School has developed high-quality teaching programmes at the Undergraduate, Post Graduate and Ph.D. levels such as M.C.A., M.Sc.(Computer Science), M.L.I.Sc., B.Sc. (Computer Science), B.Sc. (Data Science), B.Sc. (Mathematics) and Ph.D. with a student–teacher ratio that is favourable for individual attention. The School has a good record of organising seminars, workshops, symposia and conferences in the emerging areas related to Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics and Library and Information Science. The School is acknowledged for its cutting-edge research, excellent teaching and learning activity in an intellectually stimulating environment. It promotes faculty and doctoral research, consultancy, training and outreach activities in various sectors. The curriculum is designed and enriched with industry support and participation. The pedagogy is heavily interactive with a practical orientation, thus helping students in developing their competencies and realizing their full potential to contribute to the industry. The industry has recognized the capability of our students by absorbing them and giving them challenging assignments both nationally and internationally. The School has consistently achieved impressive placement records.

To create Computing professionals, researchers, and entrepreneurs, with high technical competency and communication skills by setting high standards in academic excellence and meeting the future needs of the society.
To create Library professionals, information scientists, researchers enriched with state of the art information and communication technology skills.
To continually strive to achieve excellence in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics and Library and Information Science education, research, training, consultancy and outreach activities with a multi-disciplinary, multi-sectoral and developmental perspective.
Mission
To design an effective curriculum that is abreast of the latest technological advancements and industry best practices and ensuring students have the necessary knowledge and skills to meet the learning objectives.
To develop state-of-the-art infrastructure that supports seamless blend of teaching, learning, research, and consultancy activities.
To foster a culture of hands-on learning by encouraging students to undertake challenging projects and exposing them to industry-relevant practices.
To have strong partnerships with leading IT companies and research organizations, coupled with industry-supported laboratories and Centres of Excellence to contribute to the comprehensive educational experience to the students and researchers.
