Clinical Services
Summa Health offers patients the opportunity to participate in clinical trials that study new approaches for treating many diseases, including cancer, infectious disease, and heart disease. These clinical trials help researchers evaluate promising treatments and may provide access to investigational therapies that are not yet widely available.
The Clinical Research Center (CRC) serves as the centralized hub for clinical research across all Summa Health campuses. Our experienced team includes nurses, research coordinators, regulatory coordinators, and laboratory technologists who provide the following:
Phlebotomy services
Specimen processing
Specimen packaging and shipping
Regulatory and study coordination support
All externally funded or FDA‑regulated research conducted at Summa Health is required to go through the CRC to ensure compliance, safety, and high‑quality study oversight.
