About Graham School
The School for Lifelong Discovery
The Graham School is a one-of-a-kind intellectual community that brings the best of the University of Chicago to lifelong learners who are seeking discovery and discernment. Through an array of distinctive programs and courses in the Great Books, the liberal arts, and advanced leadership, we welcome learners who seek to deepen their understanding of the world and lead examined lives of purpose.
We believe that the best learning happens in classrooms where people actively engage each other in the spirit of joint inquiry.
That’s why Graham School faculty and instructors focus on asking provocative questions and facilitating discussion rather than just imparting their expertise. Our courses invite learners to hone their critical and synthetic thinking skills, explore other cultures, and enrich self- and societal awareness.
