Explore Performing & Visual Arts at Wellington Arts The sights and sounds of passion and potential. Arts Fine arts, music, and theatre experiences begin with Little Jags and continue through senior year. Our goal is to cultivate in each student a positive relationship with the arts, so they carry a creative perspective throughout their lives. Theatre The world is a stage From their first performances to upper school productions, Wellington students discover theatre as both art and craft. They learn to take creative risks, collaborate with others, and share stories that build empathy and understanding. Music The sound of potential Music at Wellington engages both heart and mind, activating parts of the brain that strengthen focus, memory, and creative thinking. From their first songs in early childhood to advanced ensembles in upper school, students build confidence, discipline, and collaboration skills that extend well beyond the stage. We introduce music fundamentals in the lower school music, then narrow the focus on strings, band, and choir at the middle and upper school levels. Visual Arts Expression takes many forms At Wellington, visual arts are a pathway to creativity, critical thinking, and self-expression. Throughout their time at Wellington, students learn to see the world differently, experiment boldly, and communicate through a variety of media.
