A Rockbridge Academy student-athlete’s involvement in interscholastic athletics is an important part of their educational experience. While athletes are encouraged to compete vigorously and winning is valued, the overriding emphasis is on developing the athlete’s Christian character and instilling a lifelong love of sports and physical activity. Sportsmanship, teamwork, fair play, and the importance of hard work are valuable life lessons that are learned through competitive athletic participation.
