For more than 30 years, The Center for Technology and Industry (CTI) at New England Tech has been at the forefront of creating professional workforce development and specialized academic programs for corporations and organizations of all sizes and industries.
Our distinctive workforce development and advanced employee training programs encompass a range of categories from advanced manufacturing to specialized trades like shipbuilding. INDUSTRY-EXPERT INSTRUCTORS
New England Tech has experienced, industry-expert faculty members who teach in more than 50 associate, bachelor’s, master’s, and online degree programs. Through this specialization, we can develop training programs for any of these professional disciplines and further specialized training modules based on any specific courses within each of the more than 50 majors we offer.
CONVENIENCE AND EFFICIENCY
Training takes place in our laboratories and facilities designed with industry input, at your site location, or through a custom online program. We work with your schedule and accommodate your available budget. We follow through with thorough, results-focused evaluation after training.

Automotive and Auto Body Technician Training
Train for a career that drives your passion and fuels your success with two specialized training tracks available:
Automotive Technician Training (AMT)

Auto Body Technician Training (ABT)
. Both programs are designed to prepare participants for immediate employment in the automotive industry, with a strong emphasis on practical skills, safety, and professionalism.
Shipbuilding and Advanced Manufacturing Institute (SAMI)
The Shipbuilding and Advanced Manufacturing Institute (SAMI) was established by New England Institute of Technology (NEIT) to train workers hired by regional manufacturers. Participants experience intensive, customized programs in
welding, ship-fitting, and machinist training.
Autodesk Training
More than 35 years ago, Autodesk designated New England Tech as an Authorized Training Center –
the only one in Rhode Island.
At New England Tech, you will be trained on Autodesk products at the only place where you can be fully and properly trained in the state.
Marine Technician Training
Servicing, repairing, and troubleshooting today’s sophisticated marine systems demand an education that’s not just current but cutting edge. Precisely crafted in conjunction with the
American Boat Builders and Repairers Association
, our marine education training programs are customized and comprehensive. Practical, hands-on skills are supported by relevant and vital course content, designed with the input of industry experts and educators.
Emergency Medical Technician Training
Our 12-week
Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) Certification Program
gives students an overview of the Emergency Medical Services field.
Surgical Technologist Pathway Program
Offered tuition-free in partnership with Brown University Health and the Rhode Island Foundation, the Associate of Science in Surgical Technology Pathway Program at New England Institute of Technology (NEIT) prepares students to become essential members of surgical teams. Emerge confident, highly-skilled, and ready to launch your career at a surgical technologist upon completion of this immersive Pathways Program.
