zero-tolerance policy towards ragging
in any form and is firmly committed to providing a safe, inclusive, and supportive campus where every student can learn, grow, and express freely without fear or intimidation.
Ragging, as defined by the University Grants Commission (UGC) and other statutory bodies, is a criminal and punishable offence. Maharishi Arvind University strictly enforces all
UGC Regulations on Curbing the Menace of Ragging in Higher Educational Institutions (2009)
and ensures that each student enjoys complete protection under these guidelines.
An
Anti-Ragging Committee
and an
Anti-Ragging Squad
operate on campus with vigilance and compassion to maintain discipline and a healthy academic atmosphere. Orientation programs, awareness drives, and counseling sessions are organized regularly to sensitize students about the ill effects of ragging and the importance of empathy, teamwork, and ethical conduct.
Every student and parent is required to submit an
anti-ragging undertaking
at the time of admission. The University also maintains
confidential reporting mechanisms
through which any student can report incidents of ragging anonymously. Prompt action is taken on every complaint, ensuring fairness, confidentiality, and justice.
