Message From The President
Mission, Vision, and Values
Mission:
Kennesaw State University transforms lives through academic excellence, innovative
research, strong community partnerships, and economic opportunity. We empower our
students to become thought leaders, lifelong learners, and informed global citizens
by cultivating an inclusive environment that encourages free expression and civil
discourse.
Vision:
Kennesaw State will achieve national prominence as a public university known for
education, research, and community programs that foster inquiry and advance society.
Values:
Respect, Integrity, Collaboration, Inclusivity, Accountability

Strategic Priorities
Kennesaw State’s goals align with the University System of Georgia’s strategic priorities that focus on increasing student success, responsible stewardship of resources, economic competitiveness, and community impact. In the coming years, we will focus on the following five goals:
Goal 1: Create a Learning Environment Where Students Thrive
Goal 2: Conduct Innovative Research That Advances Society
Goal 3: Enhance and Inspire Our Community
Goal 4: Expand Institutional Influence and Prominence
Goal 5: Advance a Sustainable, Adaptable, and Operationally Efficient Institution

Strategic Planning Process and Timeline
Through an extensive planning and research process, the Strategic Plan Steering Committee
gathered insights from students, faculty, staff, alumni, and community members and
we thank them for their contributions to this important initiative.
Together, we are forging a new path toward a brighter, more impactful future at KSU,
united in our commitment to excellence and innovation.
