Ms. Nasira Nasreen has successfully defended her PhD dissertation titled "Effectiveness of Social Inclusion of Street Children in the Wake of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Child Protection and Welfare Act 2010". She completed her research work under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Johar Ali, Vice Chancellor of the University of Peshawar, and co-supervised by Dr. Imran Ahmad Sajid.
University of Peshawar hosts one-day National Seminar on Inclusive Society and Youth Engagement titled "Advancing an Inclusive Pakistan Society for a Peaceful and Prosperous Pakistan" on July 21, 2025.
Ms. Mehreen has successfully defended her PhD dissertation titled "Assessing the Impact of Life Skill Training on Alleviating the Emotional Dysregulation among Adolescents". She completed her research work under the supervision of Prof. Emeritus Dr. Farhana Jahangir, with Dr. Erum Irshad as co-supervisor. External examiner was Dr. Syeda Nadia Shah from Islamia College University.
Ms. Tabassum Younas, MPhil scholar, Department of Journalism & Mass Communication has successfully defended her thesis titled "Evolution of Pashto Language Press" under the supervision of Dr. Faizullah Jan. Dr. Shabir Hussain from the Department of Media Studies, Bahria University, Islamabad, served as the external examiner.
Nadeem-ur-Rehman, M.Phil scholar Department of Urdu, University of Peshawar has successfully defended his M.Phil research thesis titled "A Comparative Study of the Role of Women in the Fiction of Rashidul Khairi and Sajjad Haider Yildirim". He completed his thesis under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Salman Ali, Chairman, Department of Urdu, UoP. The external examiner was Dr. Antal Zia, Department of Urdu, Benazir Women's University, Peshawar.
Muhammad Ilyas has successfully defended his MPhil thesis titled "Osama Siddique's Snuffing out the Candle: A Gramscian Analysis of Power Structures" on July 21, 2025, at the Department of English and Applied Linguistics, University of Peshawar. The thesis was supervised by Dr. Humaira Aslam, and the external examiner was Syed Hanif Rasool.
Ms. Spogmay Sardar has successfully defended her M.Phil thesis titled "Unveiling Women's Commodification and Objectification in Bapsi Sidhwa's novel The Crow Eaters: A Beauvoirian Analysis" under the supervision of Dr. Humaira Aslam from the Department of English and Applied Linguistics, UoP. The examiner for the thesis defense was Atiq Rehman from the Department of English, Islamia University.
Ms. Kanwal Saif has successfully defended her M.Phil thesis titled "Megha Majumdar's A Burning: An Althusserian Analysis" under the supervision of Dr. Humaira Aslam from the Department of English and Applied Linguistics, UoP. The examiner for the thesis defense was Syed Hanif Rasool, Assistant Professor from Khushal Khan Khattak University, Karak.
The Department of Criminology, University of Peshawar, in collaboration with the Islamic Research Institute (IRI), Students societies University of Peshawar and other partners, successfully concluded a two-day workshop on "Building Resilient Youth Communities at Educational Campuses" on July 19-20.
M.Phil scholar Ms.Faryal Mazhar has successfully defended her thesis at the Institute of Chemical Sciences, University of Peshawar. She completed her research work under the supervision of Dr. Saima Sohni.

Mr. Muhammad Irfan PhD scholar defends his dissertation successfully today at the Institute of Peace and Conflict Studies (IPCS) University of Peshawar. His research is supervised by Dr Hussain Shaheed Soherwordi and the panel of Examiners consisted Prof Jamil Ahmad Chitrali and Dr Abdul Shakoor from Abdul Wali Khan University Mardan. The research explores the shades of Religion in the post 9/11 violence in Merged Districts and its connectivity with global political dynamics.
Ms.Noor ul Uza defended her PhD dissertation at the Department of Botany under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Ghulam Dastagir. She worked in the field of Pharmacognosy.
Ms. Sameen Shah a PhD Scholar has successfully defended her dissertation titled "THE ROLE AND EFFECTIVENESS OF WOMEN ENTREPRENEURS IN PEACEBUILDING PROCESS POST 9/11: A CASE STUDY OF KHYBER PAKHTUNKHWA,PAKISTAN" under the supervision of Prof Jamil Ahmad (Chitrali) at the Institute of Peace and Conflict Studies (IPCS), University of Peshawar.
Mr. Salahud Din Sailan Afridi has successfully defended his Ph.D dissertation titled as " Symbolism in Modern Pashto Ghazal", under the supervision of Dr. Noor Muhammad Danish Bettani of Pashto Academy, University of Peshawar.
Mr. Muhammad Behroz Khan, a PhD Scholar has defended his dissertation titled as "Impact of Cognitive Distortion on Suicidal Ideation: Mediating role of Illicit Drugs Use and Childhood Maltreatment among Students" under the supervision of Prof. Dr Erum Irshad, Chairperson Department of Psychology at the Department of Psychology.
Ms. Shahla Saeed ,a PhD Scholar has defended her dissertation titled as "Psycho-social Antecedents of Attitude toward War and Peace: Role of Social Dominance Orientation Perspective" under the supervision of Dr. Summiya Ahmad, an Associate Professor at the Department of Psychology, University of Peshawar.
Mr. Zahoor Khan Khalil, a scholar from the Department of Environmental Sciences at the University of Peshawar, successfully defended his dissertation titled as "In vitro Conservation of Podophyllum hexandrum, an Endangered Medicinal Plant." Under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Bushra Khan.
