The Cambridge Commission on the Status of Women (CCSW) is dedicated to serving and advancing women and girls across economic, social, political, and educational spheres throughout the city. CCSW advocates on behalf of women and girls by engaging with City departments, agencies, officials, and organizations to address systemic barriers. Through policy recommendations and innovative program development, CCSW works to expand opportunities and create a more equitable Cambridge while raising public awareness around key issues affecting women and girls.
The CCSW recognizes, supports, and advocates for all who self-identify as women or with womanhood, including transgender, gender fluid, and non-binary persons. We firmly stand with and for all women and girls regardless of immigration status, sexuality, race, ethnicity, ability or religion.
