Our interdisciplinary and internship courses aim to create a dynamic learning environment that goes beyond traditional academic boundaries. By seamlessly integrating diverse disciplines, we provide students with real-world applications, fostering a holistic educational experience. Internship opportunities further enhance their skills and cultivate adaptability, critical thinking, and effective communication – essential attributes for success. Our commitment to interdisciplinary education ensures that students graduate with a well-rounded skill set, ready to navigate the complexities of the professional landscape through a blend of academic knowledge and practical experience.
In addition to our STEM Department and VAPA Department, OLP also offers courses that span cross-curricular departments. These courses are often taught by teachers in a variety of different disciplines, providing students the opportunity to see how their learning can be applied to real-world scenarios. Faculty mentors will change dependent upon the courses, sections and offerings.

The AP Capstone Diploma program offers an innovative, two-year journey that sets you apart in college admissions. Beginning with AP Seminar, you'll explore complex real-world issues through multiple perspectives, learning to analyze arguments, conduct research, and craft evidence-based presentations. Building on these skills, AP Research empowers you to dive deep into a topic of your choice, designing and executing your own original research project. Together, these courses develop the critical thinking, research, and communication skills essential for college success. Beyond earning potential college credit, AP Capstone transforms you into a confident, independent scholar ready to tackle any academic challenge. By completing both courses, you'll earn the distinguished AP Capstone Diploma—a credential that demonstrates to colleges your readiness for advanced academic work.
