Who are we?
Bath Spa University is one of two universities in Bath, a UNESCO World Heritage city with a vibrant student population in the South West of England, UK.
We’re known for our inspiring
campuses
, dedicated people, and commitment to our students’ university experience. We also have a
London campus
, and we work
in partnership
with providers across the UK and overseas to bring specialist courses to students in their local area.
As a university we're relatively young, with our degree awarding powers dating back 20 years. Our outlook may be modern, but our
history of teaching
goes back to 1852 and the Bath School of Art.
Now, we deliver several hundred courses across
seven academic
Schools. Our students are the creative professionals of the future – whether they go into education, business, the arts, performance, humanities or science.

Our relatively small size means that we appreciate our staff and our students as individuals. We've supported over 90 staff to become

. We also have a

programme. Staff can access our prayer space and gain support from our Christian, Muslim and Buddhist

Academic staff
Bath Spa University is where creative minds meet. We offer a wide range of courses across the arts, sciences, education, social science and business to over 7,500 students.
We employ outstanding academic professionals who support our aim to be a leading educational institution in creativity, culture and enterprise.
Many of our Associate Lecturers work part-time for us alongside their roles in industry. This gives them flexibility, keeps their practice current, and enables them to bring a real-world perspective to our students.
Meet our staff
Professional Services staff
Over half of our jobs are in Professional Services, which is made up of 26 teams. These include our administrators, marketers, event planners, and professionals in law, quality assurance, human resources, IT, and estates.
Our student-facing teams include Admissions, Careers and Employability, Student Wellbeing Services, Student Finance, Student and Registry Services, and Library and Learning Services.
