Borrowing Guidelines | Wauconda Area Public Library Borrowing Guidelines Your Library Account You’ll use your card to check out items and use online services. You’ll use the library card number (listed on the back of your card) and PIN (created when you got your account) to log in to online services. Get a Card My Account Circulation Policy Borrowing Items from the Library Holds If you want an item that is currently checked out, you can place it on hold through the online catalog or by contacting the library. Once the item is available, we will notify you via your preferred communication method. You can pick up your holds on the holds shelf and check them out at a self check out machine or with staff. Renewals Most items are eligible for renewals. If you haven’t brought your item back by the due date, we will automatically renew it for you. Renewals may be blocked if another person has the item on hold. Specific renewal limits by item type are listed below. Fines Wauconda Area Public Library is fine-free! We will not charge any late fees as long as you return your items. Items borrowed from other libraries may still incur late fees from the lending library.
