For over 150 years we have acquired objects, photographs and archive material for the Science Museum Group Collection, to tell stories of the impact of science, technology, engineering, medicine and media on our world.
We continue to welcome offers of items for the collection. But as we already care for seven million items, we are not able to accept everything that is offered to us. To join the national collection, donated items must fit within
our collecting policy
and not be hazardous or duplicate an item already in the collection.
If you have an object that fits within our collecting policy that you would like to donate to the museum,
please get in touch by completing our donation form
We’re sorry but we can’t give a valuation of any object.
