Having a baby is a special time for you and your family. At Mater Mothers’ Private Mackay, we’re proud to be a part of Australia’s largest maternity service—we’re here to support you through preconception, pregnancy, birth and early parenthood.
When you choose to have your baby with us, you can expect continuity of care from your chosen obstetrician who will work closely with our team of experienced health professionals. Together, we will provide personalised care and support every step of the way, ensuring the arrival of your newest family member is as safe, memorable and stress-free as possible.
During your stay at Mater Mothers’ Private Mackay, you are guaranteed accommodation in a private room with an ensuite. We also have four rooms available with a double bed so that your partner can stay with you. You and your family will also have around the clock access to the expertise and support offered by our caring team. They will work closely with your obstetrician to deliver compassionate, expert care for you and your baby in preparation for going home.

At Mater we recognise the importance of visiting your loved ones at times that are convenient to you. We encourage family and friends to visit patients between
12pm to 1.30pm

3pm to 8.30pm
, seven days a week.
Please note, to ensure patients have adequate rest and recovery periods, we promote a
rest period between 1.30pm and 3pm
