Careers & Outcomes
Andrew Siaba '19, '20 (MBA)
Senior manager, financial crimes digital asset surveillance, Fidelity Investments
“The finance program at Salve was vital in my development and I couldn’t ask for a better college experience. The classes and content allowed me to collaborate and communicate with peers, which is invaluable when it came to the workforce. I truly felt the targeted courses allowed me to develop my skills in all facets of the finance industry and prepare me for life after Salve. When joining Fidelity, I had the foundation I needed to hit the ground running. The program not only developed my technical skills, but the interpersonal skills I needed to lead a conversation and command a room. The program pushed me to be the best I could be, which has allowed me to take a management role in my young career. I frequently go back and speak with students as I want to give back any way I can as so much was done for me. I am very proud to have gone through this prestigious program.”
Maraline Burke '22
Post-anesthesia care nurse, Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center
"My capstone experience at Rhode Island Hospital in the cardiothoracic intensive care unit is my most treasured educational experience because of how much I learned from the registered nurses on that floor. In this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity, I watched in awe as registered nurses and physician assistants worked together to stabilize patients after open-heart surgery, seemingly helping to bring their patients back to life."
Tyler Hertzwig '19
Environmental scientist, Rhode Island Department of Environmental Management
While at Salve, Hertzwig interned at the Department of Environmental Management, helping discover and identify pest plants in nurseries across Rhode Island. After graduation he stayed with the department, rising to agriculture marketing specialist, then taking on expanded responsibilities as an environmental scientist. In this role, he is Rhode Island’s state apiary/honeybee inspector, working on state and federal studies for honeybee diseases and pests that pose a threat to apiculture (beekeeping).
Lia-Sophie Keller '23, '24 (M)
Special agent, Homeland Security Investigations
"Going into my career, I felt very well prepared, and I seemed to be adjusting quicker than some students who came from different universities. Rather than just learning about criminal law and procedure and the American judicial system, I learned what it would really be like to be a part of it. The faculty did an amazing job of building the whole person. It wasn’t just about academics – it was about preparing us for real-world challenges. Salve gave me everything I needed to get to where I am today."
