Mount Saint Mary Academy seeks a full-time, high school Italian teacher to join our World Language Department for the 2026-2027 academic year. The ideal candidate is an experienced teacher who possesses a collaborative mindset and passion for teaching world languages. The candidate strives to incorporate 21
st
century learning principles and modern language pedagogies in their craft. Candidates should also demonstrate an openness to participating in the broader school community.
Qualifications:
Master’s degree (preferred) or Bachelor’s degree in Italian, Education, or related field.
Demonstrated proficiency in Italian. Candidates with proficiency in an additional language, such as French, Latin, or Spanish, will be given preference.
2+ years high school teaching experience (preferred).
Experience teaching AP Italian is a plus.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills to work collaboratively with colleagues, parents, and students.
Experience with Comprehensible Input (CI) and other communicative teaching strategies (preferred but not required).
Demonstrated commitment to professional development.
Key Responsibilities:
Build a classroom culture in which students engage with the language in authentic ways and integrate interpretive, interpersonal, and presentational modes of communication
Integrate technology in the classroom in engaging and meaningful ways

ENROLLMENT MANAGEMENT ASSOCIATE
Mount Saint Mary Academy is seeking an experienced, enthusiastic, and dedicated individual to serve as our new Enrollment Management Associate.
Essential duties and responsibilities:
Manage and complete assigned tasks in the Blackbaud Enrollment Management System.
Assist in planning and attend all Enrollment Management Office events.
Assist Director of Enrollment Management with all recruiting activities, school visits, and high school nights.
Collaborate with the Director of Enrollment Management & the Director of Communications on a plan and materials for Open House campaigns.
Design Admissions materials including posters, flyers, brochures, and work with printers for preparation and distribution.
Assist in planning and orchestrating Student council events as needed.
Create and Orchestrate marketing videos.
Assist the Enrollment Management Interview & Candidate Review committee.
Assemble entrance test scores and data for department chairs for preliminary placements for incoming freshman.
Lead prospective families on campus tours.
Train student ambassadors to be tour guides for Open House, and any other on campus events.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in field hockey, excellent leadership and communication skills, and a commitment to fostering a positive, competitive environment for our student athletes.

Lead and manage all aspects of the Varsity Field Hockey program, including practice planning, team strategy, game preparation, and in-game coaching.
Develop and implement a season plan, including training, skills development, and fitness programs that promote individual and team growth.
Provide guidance and mentorship to athletes emphasizing the importance of academics, sportsmanship, and teamwork.
Foster a positive and inclusive team culture that encourages hard work, dedication, and mutual respect among players.
Work collaboratively with the athletic director, assistant coaches, and other school staff to ensure the success of the field hockey program.
Attend all scheduled games, tournaments, and team events.
Maintain communication with parents regarding team activities, schedules, and player progress.
