It trains students to attain knowledge, skills and intellectual independence to contribute their quota towards national development. The school is one of the foundation schools and its vision is to become a center of excellence in training of critical human resources for efficient utilization of our natural resources.

Our course reflects the authentic specialized know-how on how to use these important resources to aid and also bolster its sustainability. In a sense that the diverse branches of the course for instance forest pathology, environmental physiology, ecology, and even eco-tourism all concerned with a common goal aiming at protecting and conserving our local species of fauna and flora which helps to put the ecosystem in balance”.

“The fisheries and aquaculture program is a job-oriented course that offers numerous job opportunities in the government as well as the private sectors. Students like myself who are passionate about entrepreneurship may become self-employed and start their own fisheries-related business. Also, it leads students to be aquaculture entrepreneurs, aquaculture farm managers, hatchery managers, fishery officers, research officers, consultants, and lecturers, among others.
