Ribbon-Cutting Ceremony Marks Opening of Phoenix Children’s Specialty Care — Arrowhead Campus

Specialty clinic will open to public on Nov. 15
PHOENIX [Nov. 8, 2023]
– Phoenix Children’s, one of the nation’s fastest-growing pediatric health systems, will celebrate the opening of Phoenix Children’s Specialty Care — Arrowhead Campus on Wednesday, Nov. 8, with a ribbon-cutting ceremony. The new clinic, which will begin serving families on Wednesday, Nov. 15, is located at 6524 W. Sack Drive in Glendale.
“Our commitment to the West Valley has been years in the making,” said Robert L. Meyer, President and CEO, Phoenix Children’s. “While we have served families in this community for many years, the population has skyrocketed, and so has the need for high-quality pediatric care. This clinic dramatically expands access to high-demand specialty services here in the Northwest Valley, so families can get the world-class healthcare their children need, right in their own backyard.”
The 45,000-square-foot clinic will provide care in more than two dozen specialties, including 10 pediatric specialties not previously available in the Northwest Valley. These services include psychology, neuropsychology, ENT, plastic surgery and a neurodiagnostic sleep and electroencephalogram (EEG) laboratory.
The opening of the multi-specialty clinic marks the first phase of the campus’ opening. Construction continues at Phoenix Children’s Hospital – Arrowhead Campus, a freestanding pediatric hospital that will provide inpatient care, a 24/7 emergency department, a surgery center and a full suite of imaging services. The hospital is slated to open in July 2024.
Phoenix Children’s Hospital — Arrowhead Campus represents an investment of $195 million and more than 400 jobs in Glendale. When the hospital opens, the campus is expected to support an estimated 72,000 patient visits each year and is part of Phoenix Children’s larger expansion strategy bringing high-quality pediatric care closer to home for families across the Valley. In July, the health system celebrated the full opening of
Phoenix Children’s — Avondale Campus
, which offers a large specialty clinic and pediatric emergency department.
Construction is also underway at Phoenix Children’s Hospital — East Valley, opening next year on the campus of Mercy Gilbert Medical Center, and expansion efforts at
Phoenix Children’s Hospital — Thomas Campus
will add 97 new patient rooms, 88,000 square feet of clinical space and a newly designed
Level IV neonatal intensive care unit
