COMMUNITY REFERENCE
Community reference is an opportunity to have a librarian embedded in your business or organization during a short-term project. We will meet initially with representatives from your group to get started and get an idea of what kind of research help you might need. This research might take the form of fact-finding, locating statistics or other supporting documentation, a literature review, information gathering, and a report of findings. Your assigned librarian will attend meetings as necessary, provide updates and progress reports, and complete the research according to your timeline. The collaboration is designed to be short-term, and would end with the completion of your research and project.
For more information please contact the Reference department at 970-249-9656 ext 3.
COMPUTER ACCESS
The library offers free public computer use. There are 17 internet stations and 2 word processors available on a first-come, first-serve basis. Area residents must have a valid library card to access the computers. Guest passes are available for visitors to the area.
Internet sessions are 50 minutes, with one Express computer for 15 minutes. Only one turn per person per day, regardless of session length. The system will automatically extend your time in 5 minute increments if no one else is waiting.
Free wireless is also available. The server is MRLD Public. There is no password but you will need to accept a user agreement.

PROCTORING SERVICES
The Reference department offers exam proctoring. Students are responsible for making all necessary arrangements for testing, including having the testing information sent to the reference department. Students must schedule their exams in advance for specific dates and times. Exams must be completed before the library closes.
There is no fee for proctoring services. However, students must provide a postage-paid envelope for paper exams to be mailed back to the school. Students are responsible for any other associated fees, such as copying or faxing.
The library will hold paper exams for 30 days after receipt. If the student does not make testing arrangements during this time the exam will be discarded.
We cannot guarantee that online tests will be compatible with library computers. Software installation is not permitted and library computers may not be reconfigured from their standard settings to accommodate online tests.
