AAU Outdoor Stadium
The AAU Outdoor Stadium is a hub for athletic and recreational activities, reflecting the
institution's commitment to fostering sportsmanship and holistic development among students. The
stadium is thoughtfully designed to cater to a wide array of outdoor sports, offering
state-of-the-art facilities for football, cricket, volleyball, and basketball.
Football and Cricket Grounds
:
The stadium boasts dedicated
grounds for football and cricket, making it a focal point for major sporting events and
practice sessions. Both grounds are equipped with a covered gallery capable of accommodating
up to 1400 spectators, providing a comfortable viewing experience irrespective of the
weather.
Infrastructure and Amenities
Seating and Spectator Facilities:
The covered gallery ensures uninterrupted enjoyment
for viewers, while the large seating capacity promotes inclusivity during
intercollegiate tournaments and other large-scale events.
Two Pavilions:
The grounds are complemented by two pavilions, designed to support
athletes and teams with ample space for strategizing, relaxing, and preparing.
Kitchen and Dining Hall:
These facilities ensure that participants, officials, and
organizers have access to quality food and refreshments during events.
Volleyball and Basketball Courts
:
Adjacent to the larger
fields, the volleyball and basketball courts provide well-maintained spaces for these
high-energy sports. Their availability encourages students to engage in regular practice and
inter-team competitions.
Maintenance and Usability
The AAU Outdoor Stadium prides itself on its year-round usability. The sports grounds and
associated amenities are meticulously maintained, ensuring they remain in top condition for
use throughout the year. This commitment to upkeep underscores the university's emphasis on
creating a conducive environment for athletic excellence.
AAU Indoor Stadium
The Indoor Stadium is located in the Students’ Centre above the AAU Canteen. It houses two
Badminton Courts, Table Tennis boards and other indoor games facilities.
AAU Swimming Pool
The AAU Swimming Pool is a beautiful facility added in recent
years. The pool is of 25-meter length with provision for circulation of water,
purification, separate changing rooms for male and female users. It has a total of 5
lanes with two coaches catering to the needs of the users. The facility is open for
use with effect from May 1 to October 30 every year.
AAU Gymnasium
A state of the art facility, it houses almost all the modern gymnastic
equipment. A gymnasium coach looks after the needs of trainees and users.
