On the afternoon of April 20, 2026, Yang Xiaoping, Deputy Director of the Changchun Municipal Foreign Affairs Office, met with a delegation led by Dato' Lee Teck Hua, President of the World Quanzhou Youth Friendship Association Malaysia Chapter. The two sides held friendly discussions on deepening exchanges and cooperation between Changchun and Malaysia in areas such as economy, trade, culture, and tourism.
Deputy Director Yang Xiaoping welcomed the delegation and provided an overview of the friendly exchanges between Changchun and Malaysia. She stated that, leveraging the "City of Charm" platform at the 23rd China-ASEAN Expo, Changchun will actively promote the signing of letters of intent for friendly cooperation between Changchun and relevant Malaysian cities, thereby further enhancing practical cooperation in cultural and tourism promotion as well as youth exchanges.
Dato' Lee Teck Hua thanked the Changchun Municipal Foreign Affairs Office for its warm hospitality. He noted that the purpose of the visit was to strengthen Malaysia-China economic and trade ties, build cooperation bridges for enterprises from both sides, and actively support the development of friendly exchanges between Changchun and Malaysian cities.
Both sides agreed that this meeting laid a solid foundation for future cooperation. They committed to maintaining communication, ensuring that cooperation plans are implemented effectively, and jointly contributing to the development of friendly relations between Malaysia and China.
