In supersession of all previous policies regarding fee payment, late fees,
installment options, cheque
dishonor, and readmission, the following Comprehensive Policy is hereby
notified for strict compliance
with immediate effect:
1. Purpose
The purpose of this document is to establish general policy and procedure for
collection of student fee
etc. at The University of Faisalabad (TUF).
2. Scope
This policy is applicable to students, parents/guardians and staff dealing
with fee matters.
3. Fee Categories
The fee shall be charged against the following heads at rates prescribed from
time to time by the
Competent Authority:
Security:
A refundable security (once only) will be charged at the time of
admission. Any
amount recoverable from the student will be adjusted against
security at the time of his/her
withdrawal/passing out.
Admission Fee:
A non-refundable admission fee (once only) will be charged at the
time of
admission from the student being admitted in any program.
Document Verification Fee:
Document verification fee (once only) will be charged from
student at the time of admission for verification of certificates/
degrees.
Semester Fee:
Semester fee will be charged before the commencement of each
semester as
mentioned under clause 6. Semester fee includes:
Tuition Fee
Semester Registration Fee
Examination Fee
Extracurricular Charges
Clinical Charges
Convocation Charges (to be charged in last two semesters)
Any other charges
Hostel Fee (where applicable):
Hostel fee will be charged annually from the students availing
the boarding and lodging facility of the University as prescribed
under the rules. However, in
special cases, students may be allowed to submit on a monthly basis
with the approval of
competent authority.
Others:
The fee will be charged for the following documents with the amount
to be prescribed
from time to time:
Regular degree
Degree in absentia
Duplicate/ revised degree
Graduate directory fee
Transcript for any number of semester
Duplicate/ revised transcript
Result card for any number of semester
Duplicate student identity card
Duplicate admit card
Syllabus attestation
Recommendation/Reference Letter
Second/Duplicate internship letter
Job description letter for internship
Paper rechecking
Name correction
Certificates:
Character certificate
To whom it may concern
Bonafide certificate
Language proficiency certificate
Clinical hours certificate
Provisional certificate
Duplicate provisional certificate
No objection certificate
Verification/Attestation:
HEC degree attestation letter
Attestation from the University

university i.e., transcript, degree or

4. Fee Structure
Fee structure of each degree program will be applicable as approved by the
competent authority. Fee
for any repeat course will be calculated on the basis of credit hour(s).
5. Payment of Dues
Applicants, who receive an offer of admission are required to pay their dues
prior to commencement
of classes as per the announced schedule in order to secure their
admissions. The applicant who does
not pay his/her dues within due date will forfeit his/her right of
admission.
6. Procedure of Fee Payment
Semester fee will be received as notified.
Student will collect fee challan from accounts department for fee
deposit in designated bank before one week of due date.
If a fee challan is lost by the student, he/she will have to pay a
fine of Rs 100/- for each duplicate fee challan.
Fee Installment:
Students facing financial hardship at the time of admission may apply
for installments
through the Installment Request Form with following options. All
applications for fee
installment will be approved by the Rector through the
Treasurer.
Two Installments
1st Installment:
50% tuition fee + all
other charges (start of semester/admission).
2nd Installment:
50% tuition fee
(within 8 weeks of commencement of classes).
Three Installments
1st Installment:
34% tuition fee + all
other charges (start of semester/admission).
2nd Installment:
33% tuition fee
(within 6 weeks of commencement of classes).
3rd Installment:
33% tuition fee
(within 10 weeks of commencement of classes).
Monthly Installments (Exceptional Cases)
Student will be required to submit fee by 10th of every
month
The payment schedule of monthly payment under respective
degrees is as under

The coursework fee is to be paid within 9
months, while the research fee will be paid
in 10 installments — starting after the
9-month coursework period.
PhD
The coursework fee is to be paid within 9
months, while the research fee will be paid
in 20 installments.
Default in one installment disqualifies the student from
further installment
facility.
Fee Extension:
Students unable to pay by the due date may apply for an extension
subject to submission of
application minimum one week before the due date, applications
received after due date will
not be entertained.
Note:
Students applying for financial aid will not
be charged late fee up
to 10 days from the decision date of financial aid application.
7. Late Fee Fine
In case a student fails to pay his/her dues by the specified date, late fee
fine will be charged as under:-

No fee/enrolment will be allowed
Late fee fine for applicant of scholarship/ financial aid will not be charged
upto 10 days from the date
of decision in which scholarship/ financial aid has been granted or
rejected. After 10 days late fee fine
shall be charged as per above schedule.
8. Re Admission
Defaulters of 100% fee may be readmitted twice only in an academic
career.
In case student fails to pay his/her 1st installment within due date,
Readmission is allowed within
30 days of commencement of classes only, so the student can maintain
his/her attendance upto
75%.
Payment of Rs. 12,000 readmission fee along with outstanding dues will
be paid by the student.
9. Withdrawal from Academic Program
Student withdrawing from degree program is required to submit clearance form
to the office of
student affairs. Students who do not follow the process will not be eligible
for any refund of fee or
security. Refund of any dues (if any) will be in accordance with HEC Refund
Policy.
10. Change of Program of Study
Student will be entitled to change degree program within four weeks of
commencement of classes
only once. No extra fee will be charged on this change.
11. Semester Extension
If duration of study in MS, MPhil & PhD programs is extended due to any
reason, fee for that period
shall be charged (semester wise) as per his/her last semester fee.
University/Hostel security will be refundable within two years after
issuance of final result
notification after due clearance. However competent authority may
condone the late
submission of application for refund of security.
If a student withdraws from the academic program, following refund
policy of HEC adopted by
TUF will be applicable.
The refund amount of Tuition Fee is subject to the following schedule:

Application for a refund of Fee can be made by completing the
appropriate form and
submitting the proof of payment. Any refund will be paid to the student
or his/her
parents/guardians/sponsoring body.
Timeline shall be calculated continuously, covering both weekdays and
weekend.
Full fee of a student who is not promoted to next semester (for which
the fee is paid) will be
refundable.
The fee submitted as an examination fee is completely refundable
The fee submitted for curricular, co-curricular, extra-curricular,
sports, tours, field trips etc.

A student expelled from the university due to disciplinary misconduct,
shall not be eligible for

The fee paid as an admission fee is nonrefundable.
13. Enforcement
Non-compliance will result in cancellation of admission or withholding
of academic records.
Exceptions may be granted only with the approval of the Competent
Authority.
