Oath of Fidelity to Prepare Transitional Deacons
March 27, 2026
On Wednesday, March 25, 2026, the Pope St. John XXIII National Seminary community witnessed three men from Third Theology profess their faith and take an oath of fidelity in preparation for their ordinations as Transitional Deacons this Spring and Summer.
Eight Deacons Make Profession of Faith and Oath of Fidelity

On March 18, 2026, seminarians and faculty gathered for solemn Evening Prayer. During this rite, members of the fourth theology class made their Profession of Faith and Oath of Fidelity in preparation for their ordinations to the priesthood.

Pope St. John XXIII National Seminary is the recipient of the 2025 Lantern Award. The award, given by the Massachusetts Knights of Columbus State Council, was presented at the Patriot's Day Dinner where the Rector of the Seminary, Fr. Brian Kiely, accepted the award on behalf of the Seminary.

Dear Brothers and Sisters,
It is with great sadness that we have received the news that His Holiness, Pope Francis, died this morning in Rome after a long battle with respiratory illness and a recent 38-day hospitalization.
